Anyone seen Cam Smith ?

The problem is Cam Smith was drafted in the 2nd round. He should be able to make an impact right away or he was the wrong pick. The Dolphins have wasted so many draft picks over the years by drafting guys who don't contribute right away. Other teams seem to be able to draft players in the first few rounds and even some in the later rounds who are able to make an impact from day 1. Chris Grier has done a terrible job at drafting enough quality players.

Are we giving up on Cam already? Isn't it a little early?

...And what makes you think Smith can't contribute right away? During camp, and Preseason, Achane and Smith were the talk of the Offense and Defense.

Achane was given a chance and proved he really was as good as advertised, and if Smith also is, but being held back because of his experience, maybe getting him in the 2nd was almost as big a steal as where we got Achane, the Coaching needs to wisen up.

Well if he can contribute right away why isn't he seeing the field? Other teams don't sit players who are able to contribute right away. This reminds me of the Tindall pick where he never sniffed the field and was also a 2nd round pick.

Not really! If they started a nickel cornerback over him against the Bills to cover Diggs then that should be a big red flag!

Probably not. Another I only come on at times to grumble account. I looked at his postings. 70% of them came on Sunday so he could piss and moan and recommend Fangio drink bleach. Another pearl that uses FH like a county fair toilet.
Let's start to use the term "facebook commenters" because thats exactly what some of those posts read like

It's says something with how poor our LB's and Db's are, that Tindall and Smith can't find playing time.

Perhaps! But I’m starting to think some of these coaches need to get out of theirselves.

Meaning a Cam Smith maybe able to play but the coach has a thing about soemthing therefore they sit.

Vic definitely comes across as that type of guy.

We didn’t draft him in the second round to “play better on special teams.”

He has athleticism that others are lacking. He made some strong plays in the preseason where he closed on the ball with serious speed. Bottom line, he’s not going to get better sitting on the bench. He’s not a 6th round flyer. He was a second round pick for a reason. Get guys like Kelvin Joseph off the damn field and get the kid some minutes - either when you’re down by 28 to the Bills or up by 50 against the Broncos. Our staff is blowing this so far.
I also would like to add to this - I see no reason to not play him in either of those scenarios

Why was Achane not on the field earlier?

Why did Van Ginkel not get a chance at rushing the QB, until Phillips went down.

Right now Chris Brooks has shown that he may be the 3rd and short Battering Ram we have been looking for, but still not used.

They are instead of trusting their eyes, and putting the best talent out there, they are 2nd guessing themselves and going with the safe choice of more experienced players.

Honest question for you - how many rookies corners are starting for their teams, and also playing well??

Not saying it cant be done but the way you are talking makes it seem like it is very widespread

NEWSFLASH

corner isnt the easiest position to hit the ground running from college to the nfl

Oh really? So you don't think it's red flag that started a nickel cornerback against Diggs over him? Are you one who also thinks it's still too early to judge Tindall? Give me a break!

Or a mistake...Fangio can make a mistake on what would be the best personal.

He was not a rd2 pick. If one is going to do over reactive, emotional rants, at least be factual.
