Anyone seen Cam Smith ?

He wasn't a 2nd round pick. He was barely a 3rd. We took him with that comp pick SF traded to us.
And I already corrected that but it still doesn't change the fact that he has been a bust so far.

Apparently, they don't do this prior to the Draft, although they should! I personally don't watch college football, but many here do and post their opinions on who Miami should pick. And every year, it seems that FinHeaven members do much better than Grier and the Front Office.
There are also a lot of bad opinions. I wanted Cosmi a couple of years ago.

The fact is.... the sample size of his playing time and stats accumulated is too small to determine anything.
Not really. This is his second season and it's not like the other linebackers on the roster are that good. If he can't crack the lineup by now there is a good chance that he never will.

Riddle me this then? Why did they have a nickel cornerback defending Diggs last weekend if Smith is so good? Grier doesn't get the benefit of the doubt until these players he drafted prove something in games. He has drafted way too many busts lately to get a free pass. Like someone else already posted Woodley was coming off a Super Bowl year when Marino was drafted. The current players in the secondary aren't that great so if Smith is who you claim he is then he should have no problem cracking the starting lineup.

Probably for the same reason they were getting nothing running that ball other then with Mosert (Even then, after the 1st game), yet no Achane.

Listen obviously you think Smith must be garbage because he has yet to be used, and I believe there is more too it because he showed too in the off-season to not succeed, too talented too fail, and has yet to fail in a game. So as the season progresses, we will see who is right.

I was referring to Cam Smith.

As for Tindall, the jury (to me) is still out but a verdict is coming soon.

The jury isn't out for me regarding Tindall. He is a bust. As for Cam Smith, he needs to show me something this season or I will think he is a bust too.

I love every time Iggys name is mentioned in this thread.

Cam Smith was a 4 star recruit coming out of high school as a Cornerback.

Recruited to South Carolina out of high school by Will Muschamp as a Cornerback.

Started at South Carolina as a Cornerback.

Drafted by us in the second round to play Cornerback.

Iggy was converted to Cornerback at Alabama and had never played the position before.

His parents were Olympians and by all accounts he is a good kid.

We weirdly had 3 first round picks in 2020, and after drafting Tua and Austin, we rolled the dice on Iggy (pick 30? Pick 31?) as a major long term project at Corner. Would I have done that? Nope. But whatever. Ya wins some ya loses some.

Other than the fact that they both are looked at as Corners in the NFL, there is nothing at all even remotely similar between the two players' situations.

Auburn

Probably not. Another I only come on at times to grumble account. I looked at his postings. 70% of them came on Sunday so he could piss and moan and recommend Fangio drink bleach. Another pearl that uses FH like a county fair toilet.
Hey!! your giving county fair toilets a bad name!!!

my worst mistake was wondering why they drafted Marino.. lol they had just gotten run over by john riggins in the SB and i wanted to go defense.. to make up for that, i did want brees the year they took jamar fletcher.. doesn't really make up for it though.. hah

True.

But then again, many here seem to be smarter than Grier when it comes to selecting players at positions that Miami needs. It's almost as if Grier has no idea!

I will admit that once in a while Grier picks a good one... like Achane, for example. But he's also the guy who took Iggy in the 1st round and traded up for Eichenberg.
