Anyone still wish Noodle was the starter?

Where is that guy who is a staunch John Beck supporter ? He was writing all kinds of garbage last week because Beck had one good drive against the falcons in pre season.. And he thinks that makes Beck a great NFL QB.

He was totally against Henne and said Beck is 100 times better than him. He must have had 200 posts saying how we will regret letting go of Beck.. With him saying we will rue the day we got rid of him.

So where is he now ?

What you saw out of Henne last night, Pennington had a LOT to do with. I'm glad he was our QB last year. This year he played hard and with a lot of heart before he was injured.
No regrets...........

I am really excited about Chad Henne, but I did like that they said Penningtion will still be at the facility to help Henne and the offense through the year. Class act that kid is.

Penny is definitely a great guy...but Henne is the future of this organization and I'm so glad he's in there. I hate that Penny had to get hurt, but with a great QB draft coming up, we NEEDED to know that Henne can get it done.

I think everyone liked what the saw out of Henne last night but you can't discredit Pennington for going out there and saving our season for us last year and taking Henne under his wing. He could have pulled a Favre but he didn't

Just checking. Thats all.

:foundout:

Umm, HELL NO!!! Glad as hell though we picked Pennington up though, as I think his mentoring is a big reason why Henne is looking so good. So i gotta ask ya WV. Do you still wish we had Matt Ryan? Or are you glad we got the 2 for 1 combo of Jake Long and Chad Henne?

Uh, Noodle arm got us a division championship and into the playoffs. He controlled the ball for 45 min. against the Colts. Too bad he got hurt. Maybe he can stick around as a QB coach.

No, the real question is where is HALF of this board who bashed me in other threads about Henne. Look, it is one game but by NFL standards, a HUGE game and it has to be a tremendous confidence booster, not only for Henne but the rest of his teammates. He may suck the rest of his career but I saw something in him last night that made me believe that isn't the case. Most bad nfl qb's, the ones who don't have an intangibles, would have failed miserably last night IMO. He didn't. He did NONE of the crap that the armchair experts on here said he was incapable of not doing.

Simply stated, Henne outperformed ANY of our expectations and probably the coaching staff as well and put it to one of the "better" teams in the league with a team that arguably has less than NFL average talent at the wideout position.

seriously guys...the noodle thing is getting lame...and old....Pennington did a lot for this team...I think he deserves more respect than that

even last year i was someone who said he limits our offense... hes a GREAT QB but his limitations effect a team tremendously...

hes a class act, one of the smartest QBs in the league, and a great leader... but im glad Henne finally got his break because it was overdue...

I agree. Henne played like a true pro, and minimized mistakes. No... Pennington could not have made that throw to Ginn, but I give him credit on Chad making virtually zero mistakes. Every time I watch Henne play I see the good part of Chad P, with a rocket arm. I was absolutley satisfied withh the way he handled the game. Especially that beautiful throw to Camarillo for that first down. That seriously gave me chills...

I'm glad Henne's proving me wrong. I thought he wasn't ready, because if he was, then the coaching staff would put him in. But really, his time was coming anyways. What I had a problem with, was the rush. After week 1 there were people clamoring for Pennington to be benched. I just wanted more patience from fans and let the offense make its adjustments. But hey, Henne did a great job last night, the line did great, the wildcat looked great, and the offense looks a lot better (I wonder how much that has to do with an overrated Jets defense though).

But as someone else said, enough with Noodle Arm, Pennington was great for us. I swear, our own fans can be as bad as the haters from other fanbases sometimes.

I never even saw it that way but that makes a lot of sense. He didn't force any throws last night. And I remember seeing that time to time when Henne would be in there before. 20-26, 0 ints screams Chad Pennington, but now some of those completions eating up more yards. Last night, he played like a veteran in his 2nd start. He handled pressure well. He made key throws like that one to Camarillo on 3rd and 10. Great game. Now let's get that damn secondary in shape!
