Is anyone surprised that Parcells didn't call up Drew Bledsoe to play for the Phins this year? I know he is old and he used to torture us (I would still have atough time rooting fo the guy), but ist is the perfect scenario. he has experience and could probably still play. Plus he was with Parcells almost his entire career (save for a couple seasons in Buffalo and his time with Belichick) so he would be familiar with the system (Parcells is not the HC but make no mistake this is his team). He could provide leadership to our young QB's. I was talking witha guy at work several months ago and mentioned this as apossibility. That said, I am more than happy we picked up Chad Pennington to fill this role.

Just giving my thoughts (from March)

We got Pennington, which to me was brought in to fill the same exact position Bledsoe filled while he was in Dallas for Parcells. You bring a vet till you find the future.

I never said I wanted Bledsoe. I was just stating that a few months back, I thought there was a possibility Parcells might bring him in. I'm glad he didn;t. I was just curious if anyone else thought the same thing.

I know. It's just that 5 months ago, I was afraid Bledsoe might be that guy. I much prefer Pennington

before wed go after bedsore id rather give jay fiedler a call.

Good point about Parcells and Bledsoe but the ownership I dot think would have let that happened, just because they are preaching this whole rebuilding thing and with a 40+ year old QB fans may have had a heartattack.

Would it have surprised me to pick up Bledsoe early on before the whole Favre/Pennington Fiasco? Nope.

But I am sure glad it worked out the way it is right now. I used to love playing Bledsoe, He was a great QB when his OL held up and gave him no pressure, but the second he got ruffed up once, it was pure Duck and Interception city.

And back in our good days we had amazing pass rushing, from our DE's, LBS and DB's. Aaaaah I miss those days:( :fogey::crying::rip::crying:.
