And would it be so bad?

Last year, let's be honest Daunte should not have played. When he did play, he was slow to make decisions, and made some real bad ones.

But, Cameron is a better OC then what we had last year. WAY BETTER. And if you know football, you know that coaching can change everything.

Daunte was an All Pro. Yes, he had Moss, but he also was making good decisions and throwing to other receivers besides Randy.

Do you think we may have thrown Daunte under the bus a little quickly?

Yes and I hope he does start, but I'm not so sure he will really. All we've been hearing is negative news about him...will he be ready for the next TC? Will he be cut? etc. ALthough as time keeps passing and with the Green rumors just about dead, I'm liking his chances more and more of staying on the team and being able to keep that starting QB spot.

I too want him to stay and start. He really wants to be our guy here and i think he deserves more than 3 or 4 games to prove it. Im not a big fan of bringing an old vet in to fill in for a year or so.

Daunte needs to be fully fit, like yesterday and get a full training camp to be considered for the starter position. Personally I don't think he is at that place right now.

There is a big question mark surrounding C-Pep. Nevertheless, he had better stats through 4 games than Harrington's whole season. If I am correct his stats where better in 4 games when he was bad than joey's 11 games.

If he completely heals and we don't cut him, I think he is more than capable of launching it.

Whats the news on him anyway? I have not heard much about the man.

he will, but i think beck will come in for a few games unless our o-line can protect! remember the sacks c-pep had! i don't think it was all his fault due to immobility, i blame the line! but we'll see! sept is round the corner

Who cares what DC says or thinks ... all that matters is 2 things

1- Is he healthy ??

2- Can he play in this system ??

IF the answer to BOTH of these is YES -- then he will stay and get the shot ... it's really that simple. I 'believe' that the odds of this happening is less than 50% ....

How could the doctors be this friggn' wrong?
It's like the guy is never going to walk again, and
what do we do..... we pick him over the guy who
led the league in passing yards last season.

I'm still a Daunte supporter. He's the best QB on the team and he should be starting, I have faith he'll be healthy by training camp.

he never starts for the Finz again! just my feelings! The last thing we need is another year playing with a gimpy QB. Id rather play Cleo and go 6-10 than go 6-10 with C-Pep

The latest word is CPEP won't be ready for June minicamp. Given our QB situation, unless the "Trent Green I want to be traded Tour" ends here, what's wrong with keeping him 'til the bitter end? If the Chiefs can do with Green why can't we do it with Culpepper, and maybe, just maybe, Culpepper might get healthy.

Im soo sick of hearing the whole he dosent know the system complaint and trent green does, Dante has been there all off season im sure sometime during the offseason a playbook made its way to him, And to me personally I dont think you should bring in an old over the hill player just because he used to be in the system you used to run, you should run your system around what you have or teach your current players the system you want to run.
