Defense looked absolutely lost When the Pats ran hurry up offense. Seemed like several times some of our DBs were looking around asking what to do. Caroll and Sapp were getting abused but it didn't seem like any adjustments were made to cover up those deficiencies. Our D got outplayed but I feel like Nolan got out coached as well. Anyone agree?

It didn't hurt everyone was cramping up and gassed. And NO pass rush from the beginning

Overall I question the integrity of the f.o. and staff...particularly when sloppiness of play, and poor conditioning trickles down to player prep.

I make the point only because everyone is talking about the poor D play but if your D calls / game plan / adjustments are poor then you set your players up for failure.

Hell yeah it does. Good thing is, he'll know it and will make the necessary adjustments...unlike our LAST defensive play caller.

He needed to scheme something to cover Carrol and Sapp. Brady made both of those guys his b*tch all night long and nothing was done to counter that. Neither Vontae or Smith were challenged much. This loss is entirely on our nickel and dime corners, and especially Nolan...

No one beats Brady without a Pass rush - period - you ave to make him move his feet and get thoughts into his head that the rush is coming otherwise he is too relaxed as he was tonite factor in the YAC (too tired to make a tackle) on the coaches and players conditioning was piss poor

Nolan's D game plan & prep, may have been the worst part of the 620 yards of misery.

No half-time adjustment?? We came back out & continued to chase ghosts!!

The D was not co ordinated well at all. The guys were out of position all night and seemed lost at times.

Maybe Nolan should come down from the sky's and get in these guys face.

This team was not prepared to match up with the Patriots, who did exactly what anyone who watched them last year could have predicted. But on top of that, the in-game management of substitutions was a disaster that the Pats took full advantage of, and the confusion between every play even when we weren't substituting was not a sign of a well-coached team.

Why were they cramping up and gassing? It seemed awfully strange to me. The 1st game at home they should have been more than ready and conditioned.
