Anyone think Mike Nolan deserves his share of blame?

I agree with whatever poster said we needed to put pressure on Brady. Obviously thats not ALL on Nolan because when we did blitz Brady tore us apart. I was disappointed in Wake for not making more of a presence. But Nolan has his fair share of blame.

Our safety play was AWFUL. How many more games until Clemons is back???
 
Sorry, the players do. I'm really tired of blaming the coaches, especially when most Dolphin fans were singing his praises last year. It's one game.
 
Other then the Jets..........The best way to beat the Pats is with a zone.BUT....Nolan has loved to blitz his MLB's for years..........that makes bad QB's look very bad and great QB's look subhuman/God like.

That has been the M.O. on Nolan for years......I didn't like him when he was with the 49ers, didn't like when he came here, and i'll feel bad for whatever team he go's to next year.
 
hell yes he deserves a lot of the blame...the personnel matchups he put out there we got owned on...nolans overrated...good dc yes but lets just stop with this defense can shut top offenses down talk...it can't...600 plus yards and 517 passing most in nfl monday night history says different...

these guys only beat up on the bad offenses...they get used by the good ones...same ole same ole
 
Of course he should take alot of the blame. Just as Tony should take alot of the blame for the loss.
 
He can't coach talent and these clowns gave him talent like Sapp, Carroll, Misi, Smith and cornfed garbage!
 
Nolan cant coach and tackle, cover, blitz, and rush...our D as a unit played terrible. Starting with the Dline, then LBs in coverage and stopping the run, and of course when the front 7 plays bad ur secondary is bound to suck also. Nolan is as much to blame but our players didnt execute anything...we couldnt cover their TEs for our lives nor their WRs. Woodhead was basically running for 8+ yds EVERYTIME he touched the ball (at least thats what it felt like) and brady had at least 8 seconds to throw the ball.

So the talent to be ranked 6th last year and returning 10 of 11 starters is gone this year?

YEP YOU GOT IT! Talent that can't generate a pass rush! You know against the weak oline you guys were claiming? Only dressing 6 guys and starting a rookie? Talent that baby cover a TE to save their life! I don't care what last years rank was. You just saw a team get sliced and diced at home on national tv. And on thing that was painfully obvious is that defense has more then one player at C level talent and they are getting serious reps. No scheming or coaching fixes that!
 
It's how you play against the good offenses that matters. I don't care about their ranking. Last time they played the Pats they got blown off the field, and again last night they got blown off the field. No apparent adjustments. TE's running wild, just like last year. Our guys cramping up, with the Pats having no such problems. This one is very much on both Sparano and Nolan.
 
Yep,i put this loss squarely on Mike Nolans' shoulders,well,him and his defense,and to the poster who wants us to go back to a 4-3,a part of me wants to go back to a 4-3 also,so ur not alone on that.

Actually the last 3 games the Pats have stomped us!
