I know they are good friends, vacationing together with their familes, etc. But losing Welker, Morris, and now possibly Bowens? ....granted there is obvious distrust with Saban and I'm well past all that stuff, I really get the feeling Belichek talked on the phone with Saban about our players

Agreed. He can share his opinion on players, but that's about it. He'll know nothing about our new offense, and now that Capers is out of $aban's shadow, he'll know less about our defense. Throw in some new players and by next September his opinion will be even more worthless than it is today.

Nick Saban was a FAILURE as an NFL coach... why would any successful coach ask for his opinion on anything to do with the NFL.

Totally Agree! That was highway robbery!

I have no doubt that Saban and BB have talked. If you look at the guys he picked up - they weren't all stars but they would good locker room and workout guys. That is what BB wants. Saban is an arrogant jerk but don't discount the player knowledge that he has given BB in the past (while at LSU) and will continue to in the future.
