Just watched the game tape again and again and what I noticed is that Tanny looks for Juice on almost every pass play, man even if other receivers are wide open. I also noticed how the announcers are so terrible ? they called Jarvis Landry Jarvis Jenkins ad they credited Mat Dar with a TD. pathetic !
I truly thins this offense is loaded with weapons, if only the OL can hold and Tannehilll can just nicely distribute the ball evenly.

I agree, that was evident in the Bill's game. Stills was wide open on at least 2 occasions, but Tannehill threw the shorter pass to Landry.

He has had wide open guys plenty of times over the years and seem to go short or not get the play off. Wish we would attack down field more. We need oline so bad.

Too predictable - Jarvis Landry has great hands but it was significant that Belichick targeted him as the player to eliminate in the Patriots game (and other teams noticed). We need to get the ball to some other players. I thought that Lazor's playcalling last game was pretty poor. Players like Cameron, Jennings, Stills, Parker and Sims can all make bigger contributions. We also need to see Tannehill show off his athleticism.

where are those designed plays this year? He ran the read option very well in prior years.

Tannehill definitely has a preference for where he wants to go with the ball on a lot of plays. Even before Landry he'd stare down an area, not noticing open guys. I was hoping he would have improved in this area by now.

I agree.... And for the love of God run the ****ing ball! I'm telling you, that's the most frustrating part of watching him play QB, the fact that he doesn't use his athleticism more. Its not all on him, Lazor's to blame as well for not incorporating it into the playcalling.

But if I was Ryan Tannehill I would have that conversation with Lazor asking him to incorporate more plays where Ryan can use his legs. Wouldnt you? He plays a lot better when he breaks off a nice run. We had a lot of success with the read option in the past. I think I can count on one hand the amount of times I've seen Tannehill keep it and run this season. Frustrating.

Football Outsiders has Matthews as the third ranked WR in the entire league and he has a pretty incredible 74% catch rate. Landry has 89 targets to Matthews 57, Matthews needs to be targeted more and really those targets numbers probably should be reversed, or more balanced at the very least.

Telling you, the guy can be as robotic, or even more so, than Chad Henne when it comes to instinctively scrambling . . . he doesn't wanna leave the pocket, and you'd figure with our offensive line that is something you wanna make teams fear so they don't over pursue.

Only time he runs is if he's been directed to run . . . basically read option and he keeps it or a designed QB draw. Other than that, all this athleticism and no instincts on when to leave the pocket and gain extra yardage.

If you aren't doing that in today's NFL, you aren't going far. Guarantee you the Ryan Tannehill blueprint around the league states "kid does not scramble out the pocket".

Teams are really jumping on those bubble screens too. That's why we only get 2 or 3 yards out of them now. I am really surprised Cameron and Sims are not more involved in the passing game, unless they are being held in to block? Usually a good receiving tight end is a QB's best friend.

I was thinking the same thing. Not sure if it's Tanny or the play call from Lazor, but they use him sooooooo much and neglect other wide open recievers. Knock on wood, but I hope they don't wear him out.

Look for the playmaker. Is he supposed to look for Parker on the bench or Jennings?

Lazor is calling the plays but RT decides who to throw to, he's checking down when he doesn't have to. I saw him dump off to Landry when he could have taken a shot so many times. I love seeing Jarvis with the ball because you never know what he's going to do but if we rely on him to break 8 tackles everytime we give the ball he's going to eventually get hurt.

I think you nailed it...

He's not a natural player...no real feel for the game.

He's great at taking instruction and doing what he is directed to do. He's very good at executing plays when things are ideal, but as soon as their is a break down in the play, WR get throw off target, protection breaks down, he seems lost. When the defense jumps offside, it is a free play to takea shot down field...he never does this, he doesn't scramble to pick up extra yards when the middle of the field opens up.

Damn...how has it taking this long to really notice this...great when he can execute the play, but really struggles when he has to do anything but the perfect play.

Hey right, just read that too. Am telling you this team has weapons.
