I was really REALLY bored tonight and did something I almost never do... yes, I clicked on Xs and Omar.

And I dont know whether I should be scared or not... I agreed with them for a change (time to reexamine my opinions I guess).
1. Neither of them thought we'd draft Tua. (Agreed)
2. Omar thought he'd go to the Chargers. (Have been saying this for weeks)
3. Hyde popped off that we should draft 7 offensive linemen, Omar responded seriously that we should draft 4, and would likely take one at 1a. (More or less agree)
4. Omar was very anti-Davenport. (Hell yes)
5. Omar said we had no one on the team to consitantly set the edge on the defense and that Beigel was miscast in the role

At the end of the broadcast, I was muttering to myself... I agreed with almost all of that. What the Hell have they done with Omar?

There is no shame in watching. Due to the lack of "good" coverage, aside from the ridiculously commercial ridden sports talk radio, I watch the piece every week.

If it makes you feel better, this is the first week Omar wasn't spouting 40 minutes of contradictory crazy talk.

Hyde always seems to have a few rational thoughts sprinkled in with his axe grinding.

BPA all the way. No more DT's however please. We need oline and defensive ends and linebackers. We also need to get a legitimate safety but those can be found in the back of the draft if you do your research.

Other than quarterback our focus should be on those positions. Chris Grier is hot garbage but has shown he can find serviceable WR's and RB's as udfa. We are set at TE for now.

No more cornerbacks please.

If we can come out of this draft with an LT, a LG, a DE, and a QB, I will be happy. The rest is a crap shoot and can be picked BPA.

I had Jalen Hurts as a late 1st round pick but I think if we don't get Burrow we should focus on QB in the 2nd or 3rd round instead, at which point Hurts would be a steal.

Dont forget that our coach is a defensive minded coach, so I'm thinking we will surely draft one or two cb. Plus one or two free agent pick up DBs

Burrow is the only QB worth taking in the first round because of the injury to Tua and his numerous other injuries over the past year. I would only draft Tua with a second round pick at this time and I think another team which can afford to have him sit out the 2020 season will ultimately draft him in the first round.
The rest of the QB’s likely to be in the draft just don’t seem to be first round caliber QB’s. I agree that the Dolphins should now just go with the BPA with their picks and if this means they don’t select aQB in the 2020 draft, so be it.
They will probably win too many games in 2020 to be able to draft Lawrence or Fields so we just have to hope that another QB is available in the 2021 draft that can eventually become the Dolphins franchise QB for the future. Use the 2020 draft and free agency to rebuild the offensive line and defense and hope a quality QB is available in 2021 or Rosen takes a huge step forward as an NFL QB next year.

It really depends on what we do in Free agency 1st but for the sake of discussion we assume we go into draft with what we currently have on rost, I'm drafting a LT and a pass rushing DE with 2 of my 3 1st rounders. Im throwing out BPA cus we have to have those 2 positions filled early, i wouldnt even be against draft 2 OT and 1 DE or 2 DE and 1 OT in the 1st. It depends on on the FAs we bring in, i also wouldnt be against using 1 of the 1sts on Tua or a RB like Swift or Dobbins.

aslong as we get a LT,C,RT in the first 3rounds after that I don't care, go bpa if you want. and im fine going with Rosen next yr

Depending on how early we take a QB will answer how our staff really feels about rosen. If we pass on a qb in the 1st 2 rounds id say they are fine riding with fitz and rosen again for the year. I know some around here want to sign Ekeler but id really give Hunt a look. He still looks pretty good splitting with chubb

To be fair, they stated the obvious for the most part.

I can't watch that stuff.

Omar is irritating, but I've always found Hyde to be just plain unbearable.

For all the hate he gets, Omar is probably the best local Dolphins writer.

The herald is a total joke.

If Tua drops to the bottom half of the 1st round I don't see how they pass up on him.

They have plenty of picks to maneuver up & down.

Even Tua has admitted he may never be the same. I think his injury changes the draft focus for Miami. Perhaps the team circles back to Tua if his rehab looks really good, but it's a risky top 10 pick.

Bridgewater or a trade for an established quarterback may now be an option. More likely, I think Miami gambles on Herbert. I'm not 100 percent sold on him, but he has the type of talent a good coaching staff should be able to develop.

I think Miami has to draft two offensive linemen pretty high and, hopefully, find two starters in free agency. Davenport, to me, looks like a guard. Maybe he has a future there.

I agree with most of this. Brown is a player I wouldn't dismiss, though. Great run stopper in the middle, who can also get after the quarterback.

I am warming more and more to Hurts. I love multi-dimensional quarterbacks. They give defenses fits.

Agree on safety, but I'd add another corner pretty high.
