Appalachian State, LSU to open season in matchup of national champs

App State is a tremendously well-coached team with good talent all around, albeit not on the level as LSU. Armanti Edwards is still pretty damn amazing and i see him keeping App State in the game for awhile. My prediction is LSU by 14 or so after pulling away in the 2nd half.

I don't know what to expect of this game. Appalachian lost some real senior talent
WR Dexter Jackson
WR Hans Batichon
HB Kevin Richardson
DB Corey Lynch (The guy who blocked the kick)

Devin Moore has been great backing up Richardson but I've only seen him play for one game. Remember App played LSU in 2005 and went in the 4th 0-14. App could have scored 10 points against them. This is Appalachian without Armanti Edwards. Could App pull it off? Possibly. I was even skeptical about App beating Michigan, most of us would have been happy if we scored over 21 points. Needless to say this will be an interesting game. App will prepare hard for it like they did for the wolverines (they "hail to the victors" at App in the training room just so they would hate it.) I will hopefully make it to Louisiana for this one, who knows I may make it on ESPN again(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qRICy2np9EU I'm the second shot of fans in the middle with the 44 jersey, who is Marquis Murrell who sadly plays for the Jets)

App St. will probably not be able to beat LSU, but I don't think it will be a blowout. You never know, they might even be able to pull off another upset. It's a good program right now. I think the gap between the big schools and the smaller schools is shrinking.

App. St. will get beat by LSU and GSU! But both games will be close.

this might be a good game to start the season for LSU, get them playing a team that while talent is on the lower end will play well as a team and keep themselves in the game. in the end LSU wins, but only by 14-21 points
