Sorry guys, we all love the Dolphins but we seriously need some reality checks. And lets all stop lying to ourselves.

Lets stop pretending Saban is a great coach before he ever proves it (teams that were in worse position talent wise and cap wise this year are playing better)And schemeing against college kids is much easier then pros. look at Pete Carroll for an example

Lets stop pretending every draft pick will be a starter. People relying on both Wrights, Evans, Vickerson, and Roth as this dominat future d-line is ridiculous. Those guys were all late round picks for a reason except for Roth.

People who constantly make excuses for our qb's. Some of us are so jaded that we think harrington can throw 3 picks and say he still played well.

Stop blaming the o-line for every problem.

Eventually we have to stop blaming wanny for everything, many of our cap problems have more to do with Saban then wanny. What awful deals that wanny made are still on this roster.

Lets stop getting excited about rookies starting , the Pats won the division with 2 rookie olinemen last year and had 4 rookies starting as well. its whats suppose to happen.

And lets please stop saying this team will be great next year with just a few additions because it wont.

Saban has not once tried to rebuild, and all his moves have proven that.he wanted to win right away and it will come back to burn him.

Can some of us stop lying to ourselves about Ronnie Brown also?

The guy is the only bright spot on our whole offense and could take the game over if given the opportunity. He's a bruiser and like all bruisers get better as the game progresses. If we utilized him correctly, we would be winning more games. Those of you that say he's a bust, especially after 23 games, are out of your minds!

Two of those three picks weren't his fault...so stop lying to yourself.

hes right about ronnie, if they would just run the damn ball more
we're .3 attempts per game behind green bay for most passing attempts per game in the nfl
oh yeah and ronnie is such a bust
bull**** go jump off a bridge

Ronnie Brown hasn't showed me much.He can't create anything on his own. He looks stiff as hell running out there. I havn't seen that speed i saw when my jaw dropped watching him at the combine. I do like his pass catching abilities though...Usually when the ball is thrown his way he makes the grab. And the kid is a tough runner.Overall so far i'm dissapointed with the pick.....and i just jumped off the bridge....

Click the Salary Cap link at the top of the page and you'll see for yourself. In particular, look at the defense, plus Chambers and McMichael.

I find this very difficult to say as a die-hard dolphin fan, but that was an excellent post and I agree with everything you said. The realist in me won't allow me to believe that we can turn this season around (or next season for that matter). I'll never stop loving and supporting my Dolphins, but maybe it's our turn to be cellar dwellers for a few years... God, I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.

a Ronnie Brown highlight video...wut a joke....I'm embarrased for you. Beleive i wish he was an ALL WORLD Rb

You wanted to see what he brings to the table. I provided. That's all 2005 footage, too. If you want an update, go look at his game against the Jets. Their horrible run defense was balanced by our horrible run blocking, and what happened? Ronnie wound up carrying multiple Jets defenders while still running forward.

Im surprised nobody has accused you of being a bandwagon fan. Normally if you suggest that we are not the greatest team in football, you get blasted

I see a average running back.Blame the line. Blame play calling.I don't see anything special about him.Great hands thats about it.He was lucky to have Ricky on the team last year or he would have been really exposed. Great hands thats about it...and oh by the way i hope they don't bring ricky back and turn this into more then a circus then its already been.

I have no doubt, that Ronnie will be one of the greats in this league. The guy has talent and is putting up decent numbers in his SECOND year despite the offense.

One good thing is that the sacks have gone down since Joey has played, and that takes some heat off the line. However, is the O Line or our FB not to blame for not opening up holes? If you want to put the blame on Ronnie's lack of playmaking when he gets no blocks then you can't compliment Richardson or the line in Minnesota for what they do for Taylor, and you can't give praise to the O Line and Neal in San Diego. Good blocking is the reason why your RB averages 4+ yards a carry. Sure, he can break a tackle for 3 yards, but that one block gives him an extra 2. When we don't have that one block, there's no where he can go.

I feel that we have some quality players on our line, but they aren't clicking and getting the job done.

You didn't see anything special? Yea so they're ALL not "special" plays, but they were in there and you obivously missed them. How about that KC run? Watch it again! How about that ordinary pass to the flat in the Buffalo game that he turned into a TD and put us on our way to one of our great comebacks? Not special enough for you? And although it was for 3 or 4 yards I will declare that play Vs the Browns where he shook off 8 defenders, as a special play. Not many backs have the strength like that. We know he's not Ricky, not many backs are or were. But do realize that Ronnie has what it takes. So he's not LT or Ricky, but I do believe he's every bit as good as Larry Johnson or Edgerrin James. Look at Edge in Arizona compared to Edge in Indy, now you want to tell me Ronnie isn't special enough for you, running behind this line?

I agree with you Slippy. The worst part is the fans who continue to make "going undefeated" threads after each loss. We have too many glaring needs for that to happen.

The Saban butt kissing needs to stop. Let him prove his greatness, don't hand it to him on a silver platter. I'm not giving up on Saban just yet.. that said.. he's not even been an upgrade over Wannstedt yet.

The O-line is the only thing I disagree with you on. They are a less than mediocre unit. The pass blocking is average, the run blocking stinks.

Also it's hard for me to put much blame on our QBs, either of them. The only thing I blame Culpepper for is holding on to the ball entirely too long. The only thing I blame Joey for is a couple (not 7 like his stats indicate) of bonehead throws.
