Are the Dolphins that bad...

...and that irrelevant nationally that the highlight reels from the last preseason game was the highlights of Micheal Sam, all six of his tackles. I have to admit, the guy has a nose for the balls. He is always around the ball. No pun intended, ouch!

He's a baller......

Dishonest comparison.

I wonder why they Browns have been getting more attention. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm why could that be? Try not to think too hard on that one.

Yes that was my point. It's all about the player and not the team for espn/nfl network.

there's just no good reason to keep Sam on STL. They are stacked on the DL. a team will pick him up on waivers. plenty of teams could use Sam.

hell, I might get bashed for it, but i'd even be willing to trade Jordan for sam plus a draft pick. Sam has shown more than Jordan this preseason. Jordan should have been a monster vs 2's and 3's.

Sam: played pretty well against ours and others' future UPS drivers - but is being outplayed by an UDFA - where I've been maintaining all along he should have been "picked" if Goodell didn't give Kroenke incentive to be named later (the LA Market?).... to spend a usually meaningless 7th on him to make the PC'ers happy and deflect attention from Irsay and the Redskins controversy. Good for him that he rose to the occasion and earned some consideration to be poached by a weaker team... but he's no Jerry Smith nor will ever be.

Oprah wasn't gonna do a story on how Derek Wake rose like Lazarus to be reincarnated as the fearsome "Cam" or any other legit story that didn't pander to the public's basest appetites. Is anyone surprised?

ESPN already has the "bar stool types" locked in as viewers/ customers, they are trying to target a new group. They seem to be doing a good job of it because there is always a Michael Sam thread popping up on this site.

I can't believe you actually have to ask this question. Let's see, first active openly gay player in the NFL trying to make a roster or a franchise that has been pathetic for over a decade? Hmmmmmmmmm I wonder what sports hubs are going to want to show more of.

It still amazes me though that fans care about this kind of thing. If you watched the game and enjoyed what you saw then what does it matter if some highlights don't show more of our team?

That's the problem, didn't see the game wanted to see some highlights but nothing.

It's about the hot button issue. The Dolphins were making headlines last year, but for all the wrong reasons when the whole bully nonsense broke. That's how news works man .... and hell so does 99% of the internet. It's all about what brings viewership.

Do you not live in Florida?

If not you're fighting an uphill battle. How hard is it to jump online and watch local game reviews on the respective south Florida news sites?

If you want highlights of actual Dolphins plays, go to their team channel on NFL.com. Otherwise of course ESPN runs with Michael Sam stuff b/c that what gets them clicks or views.

people think michael sam sucks lol, can u say clueless!!!!

If you watch BSPN (no matter what they say, report, fabricate, or dramatize) you have no one to blame but yourself.

So we're complaining about the fact that the first openly gay football player (which is a big deal) in a game where it was mostly scrubs playing got all the love? Nobody cares about the final preseason game. It's a pretty damn useless game.

Those evil bar stools...
