Are the Dolphins that bad...

Miami has had the opposing team announcing crew working the broadcast of their two home games. What does that say. But in all honesty, what has Miami done to rise about mediocrity? Miami has been luke warm for so long there isn't any appetite for them nationally.

Anyone willing to trade Jordan for Sam really has no clue how to evaluate NFL talent or upside.

The same people that would want Sam starting for their NFL team probably also think that Bess and Hartline are elite playmakers, lol (no offense to Hartline, btw).

Dion Jordan is a freakish athlete. Michael Sam is never going to be an elite player, but there is a chance that Dion Jordan will become one.

Jordan is never going to be an elite player. We drafted him third overall and we got udrafted and 7th round draft picks out playing him.
There are athletes those that look good in shorts and there are football players.

I would consider a trade with Philly that involved Graham, the de, and the wr Johnson and maybe a OL like Turbin. That would be a reasonable trade. Maybe two for one? (Jordan trade that is, but Jordan has good talent. This coaching staff struggle with him, and they may not be around too long anyway),

If only we played in a combine contest that Dion Jordan would be our number one weapon

I wouldn't want Sam or Jordan starting for my team. The term playmakers is overused. He has made a few plays but he has also been horrid against the run and this preseason seems very average on a field of backups and grocery baggers.
Ethan Westbrooks will probably be a better football player than either one. Not sure how Jordan is so much better playmaker than Sam. Sam has played pretty good this preseason and people want to act like he ahs only survived cuts because he is gay which is beyond asinine.
He was a good college football player and is a much better NFL prospect than people are giving him credit for. I would rather have Westbrooks than either Jordan or Sam. If Jordan is so awesome why isn't he dominating the level of competition he is playing.

So if he makes team its ony because Goodall has asked and not his 3 sacks and multiple tackles he has made, makes perfect sense

Never said it was the only reason D, but I'm sure it's part of the PR equation. As for Jordan ... a. he's ten times the athlete Sam is and b. we will probably never get to see it because - the guy is a OLB who they're trying to turn into another Cameron Wake. Unsuccessfully to this point, I might add.

We are in the world of reality tv and the media has jumped on board. All you see on tv now is the "story" people want to hear. No more X's and O's or actual football. Just look at the super bowl....all about who's performing at halftime, what the best commercials are, etc....it's no longer about the game.

Yeah. ESPN seems to cater more to a fan base that isn't too knowledgeable about sports. They go after the stories that you would see in a chick flick.
I agree with how they try to interest people with peripheral stories. I think in this case they know Michael Sam, although not super compelling, is still a more compelling story to most than a bunch of 3's and 2's playing out a meaningless 4th pre season game. If they do it during a meaningful game, and they may but they haven't yet, that would be a sad commentary on what they think of fans. The thing is, controversy gets you viewership or readership and people keep making this controversial. If people stop feeding off of it and ignore it, maybe the media will come around. I just shrug my shoulders and turn the channel or find another article to read.

10 times the athlete who knows but they are playing football and he is not 10 times the football player he is.At this point he is not even a better football player. people get too caught up at how some guy looks in shorts and ignore what they do on field. Vernon Ghouslton was a damn good athlete .
probably never see it because he really isn't that good anywhere on field for us

Sam has showed he deserves to be on an NFL roster and after his college career he deserved to be drafted . Not sure why people think having a gay football player is such great PR. look at all the teams that swarmed to sign Jason Collins when they found out he was gay.

It's not that having a gay football player is a good PR move, it's that cutting the "first" openly gay rookie that such a fuss was made over, is NOT a good PR move. These are totally different things.
