Are the June 1st cuts not what they used to be?

After last years new CBA, the June 1st cuts became pretty uneventful. Was that because of the early scramble of cuts to conform to the new rules, or is this a permanent thing? I'm just wondering if we will horde some cap money and keep tabs on certain players til then. Especially OL.

very good question it used to be for cap savings for this year and spread the money to following year but have not heard of any changes i will stay tuned if anybody has more info
