I miss that guy so much.

I feel our QBs need a security blanket....None of our WRs, save Welker,
can do it. Maybe a slow, waddleing guy like Jimmy would lull guys to sleep and create first downs.

Crash was slow, and, just, able to do everythng. I know he's a FL Realtor now, but....I just can't help but wonder........"Consistancy" many times is going to the guy that WILL catch the ball.

We need a "Money" guy on Offense..We don't have him yet.

(Balls hitting you on the hands resulting in drops don't qualify you as a "Money" guy..Yes...Hagen, Chambers, etc et all)

:(

Crash ain't coming back....

It just makes me sad when I look at our team for the last few years.

Jenkins???

It was Jim 'Crash' Jensen...

Oh I was confused with the the LB "crash" Jenkins, who eventually was released by Miami and signed with Green Bay....hey whatever happened to that Linebacker?

I remember he played multiple positions....and he was a surprise, but never really evolved as a starter.

He tore it up for us in pre-season.

<---------THAT "Crash". There is only one.

Weren't they planning on using Vick as a Slash type player?

Hell we should use him at WR now, since we are out of the playoff race.

When the Dolphins played in Chicago in 1991 Jim "Crash" JENSEN knew of an old ice fisherman trick where they would put cayenne pepper in their shoes to keep their feet warm. The players did it and the Dolphins won the football game in snowy ten degree weather.

Priceless

MV could be the next, actually talented "Crash".......But, the difference is he is used to not really trying. JJ went down on every kickoff like it was his last play.

"Dazzleing open field moves" consisted of dropping a shoulder ;)

Seipel

Crash was a combination of a quarterback and free safety in terms of style. He ended up at receiver. Larry Seipel was from a similar genetic strain.

That's a story I didn't know.

Sounds a lot like "Here we go! We're doing it, so it'll work!"

the mind is a powerful thing :D

You answered your own question, Welker is the closest thing you will see to Jim Jensen in this day and age. I surely hope we don't lose him to free agency. Did you know Welker can also kick FG's?

Marcus Vick is a crash player as well. He can play QB and WR (though he is still raw at the last position).

And, believe it or not, Renaldo Hill is sort of the defensive crash. He can play CB, S, and Nickel LB (though he mostly played the last part with the Raiders).

Wes Welker?

Right now he is catching 69.9% of all passes thrown to him. Look how many recievers are doing better then that-
http://snap.stats.com/stats/nflinfo/leaders.asp?year=Q&type=AFC%2FNFC+Receiving&rank=055&Submit=Go

Considering Joey Harrington is throwing to him, and what the other recievers are doing that is pretty damned crazy.

dude, for bein a 3rd string receiver i'd say thats pretty good and he's marginally close to being in the top 10...behind TJ who's your mama :)...all the other guys excluding Ben Utecht are 1st and 2nd tier players.
