The reason why I ask is if there is no cap and no draft can we spend with teams so we can win every year like the yankees, if so the hell with the cap and no more rebuilding baby,

Miami isn't going to be Washington/Dallas rich, but I think we'll be in the controlling group of 5 to 10 teams that makes the vast majority of the noise in this new league order.

Wayne has deeeeeeep pockets and isn't afrain to go into them.

Ya, I think he could do it easy as the fourth richest owner and one of the bigger markets. Don't know if he would. He has spent alot of cash since Saban arrived.

We also have a desirable location to play. Nothing cold like Green Bay or boring like Buffalo

I believe we are richer than both those teams. But no one compares to Seattle...

great, then the hell with the cap, we will be like USC in the big ten win every year in the afc east

No owner is going to spend his personal money on the team.

Washington and Dallas are going to bring in the most money and will probably have the highest payrolls in this new order. Miami will have a competitive payroll, but it won't be due to Wayne's personal wealth. It will be due to the revenues Wayne can generate in this big market due to the popularity of this team.

I feel horrible that there may be no salary cap in the future, but I would feel a LOT worse if we didn't have Wayne on our side.

So how does that work anyway? How does a team become that financialy viable? With the possibility of not having a cap I figured that the Jets would be pretty much the football equivalents of the Yankess because of their market. Or is it all about the owner?

Great thread. Something optomistic.
I know we are top 5. We'll be fine without a cap and we have a smart coach to sift through who is worth the $$
