The one common theme is that we have been 'low-balling' through FA, re-signing Soliai and signing Richard Marshall to cap friendly contracts.

With the hire of Philbin & Sherman, together with the trade of B.Marshall, are we finally going to build a roster through draft?

It has to be a combination of the draft/free agents, if only because no one--the fans, the media--has the patience to allow a team to grow slowly over the years, as was the case 30 years ago when there was no free agency. If the Dolphins draft Tannehill and have Matt Moore start for two more years, I'll be happy. I liked what Moore did last year and like the idea of having a competent QB working with an All-Pro left tackle and possible future All-Pro center.

I think Miami definitely wants to build through the draft, but I really hope they don't trade down with that first pick. They need to get a playmaker in the worst way, and you have a better chance of doing that at 8 than in the mid teens.
