If you do that means you would have to fire Philbin. Are you ready to do that? Baalke is not going to want to inherit his coach...not a GM of his ilk.
I am ready to fire Philbin. Good guy and all, but too much incompetence.

I just don't see Philbin as our savior at Head Coach. Sorry. If we can get a top flite GM then let them bring in their own coaches. Philbin will just have to go.

The problem is there really not any elite coaches out there. A new GM would most likely bring in another coordinator who is unproven. I say give Philbin one more year. If we make it to the playoffs he will have us moving forward. That's what we want even with such an up and down season such as this one.
