One of the reasons why Ricky left was because he didn't want 30 carries a game. I know Ronnie has been banged up, but Ricky has had almost 30 carries this week and last.

I think Ricky meant that he didn't want to run it 30 times a game up the middle.

Ricky left because he was abused for 2 years. One game of 30 carries won't hurt him and he won't think about complaining because he knows there's no reason to.

That's just too bad for Ricky. I could care less what he wants, he's apart of this team and has become an important piece in the offense. He's going to have to do whatever they tell him to.

Besides, it's only 2 games, and Ronnie Brown missed one and isn't 100% healthy for this one. I think what Ricky meant before is that he doesn't want to consistently carry the ball 25-30 times a game. Obviously, with a healthy Ronnie Brown, he's not gonna see this many carries. He's be alright. If not, Keith Traylor's fat *** can sit on him.

I think it's necessary to point out that none of us have heard Ricky complaining about the way Nick uses him. Our responses sort of presuppose what the answer would be if he did have a problem with it.

Get with the program, bro. This week we are supposed to hate Ricky. Next week we can praise him!:goof:

Exactly. He didn't want to average between 30 and 40 carries per game. I know he understands there will be times when he has to do it. He looked like was running hard and having fun out there to me.

Ditka talked about this on Countdown and said that he talked to Ricky and he laughed the entire conversation and said he's enjoying himself and enjoying the game again. I think his relationship with Nick Saban is much better than it was with him in NO with Haslett or in MIA with Wannstedt. I believe he enjoys guys like Ditka and Saban because they are honest and real with him.

I think you are wrong on that one, according to my 2006 Miami Dolphins calender this is Praise Ricky hate Chambers week. :sidelol:

Ricky left because he failed a drug test. All of the other reasons were flat out lies and excuses. He tried to get Dave to work the NFL front office because he was a star. The only thing you could say is Ricky didn't want to stop smoking pot.

Before I get flamed, I'm not a Ricky hater or a pot hater (or user). He is one of the best RBs to ever play the game IMO and I want him a Dolphin.

Don't lie to yourselves about why he left. Dave had nothing to do with it. If it was the offense, why did he want to go to Oakland and play for Norv?

There is a HUGE difference between a Wannstedt 30+ carries and a Linehan 30+ carries.

Ricky is being asked to get outside a lot more now. He does'nt have to plow it into the pile 30 times and have 6 guys laying on top of him.

The other difference is Wanny would give it to him 30+ times game after game after game....

That won't happen next year. I think the carries will be predicated on who is hot.

If Ricky and Ronnie end up with a split (180-220 carries each) I'd be damn happy and I'm willing to bet the backs would be happy and HEALTHY for the playoffs.
