It also takes more than big12 and pac12 defenses to prove you can play in the NFL.

Flynn has shown he can play at a elite level in the NFL.
I agree with that. But as far as Flynn proving he can play at an elite level. It takes more than 2 games to prove that to me.

Where do you see that I compared Moore and Flynn? I'd love to know, because I didn't.
Excuse me maybe I misunderstood when you said Matt Moore never beat a team with a winning record. Seeing how the thread says are you sold on Flynn. To me it seemed like you were comparing the two.

Nope, I was just correcting the thought that Moore has done enough to warrant remaining the starter next year. I don't think he has and I think Miami should look elsewhere. That said: I'm not going to say that elsewhere is Flynn. I'll leave that up to Philbin.

Get Flynn then in the draft to fix the o-line and get a TE and and another RB thats not injury prone.

Cuz you have to give him a huge contract most likely. Kolb got a 5 year, $63 Million, $21 Million guaranteed. So its going to be something like that I'm guessing.

Is that your money???? no.. are you the coach????? no.... I think Philbin knows best.. If he decides to bet his own success bringing in Flynn then I am all for it!!!!!!!!!!!

why dont we take al too...he had 4 touch downs in 1 game too?

Obviously the talks are heating up. So, Are you sold on Flynn?

Considering that all it can cost us is money, as opposed to picks, yeah I'm sold on the idea that you take a shot on him. You could ask the same question about Luck or RG3, but teams in position to draft them have to take shot. Same with Flynn

I think Matt Flynn is likely to be an upgrade over Matt Moore if you're running a WCO. I do think he has physical limits though. Not the biggest arm, a little on the short side, low release, very small hands. Makes up for it by being smart, well coached with great work ethic.

I don't think anyone really knows how much he will cost because it's a while since a QB of any note hit free agency. But in theory it should be more than Kolb because it's an auction, he doesn't cost draft picks and Kolb blows.

Overall I'd prefer to take my chances in the draft (and not on RGIII and not with our current 1st rnd pick). There are a few other high round prospects I'd be interested in and I'd be sure to take a mid-late round QB as well. Hey maybe we can get a Matt Flynn late in the draft and save ourselves $60m down the road

There's only ONE person's vote I could give 2 squirts of piss over, and that's Joe Philbin's. IF he's sold on Flynn, then he's got my support. We are VERY lucky to have Philbin as our head coach. He knows good and well his future may very well go hand in hand with his decision as to who our QB will be. I doubt he's going to gamble on it with Flynn, unless he knows for sure he can lead this team. Any other head coach would be taking a MUCH bigger roll of the dice, when it came time to decide his opinion on Flynn.

Long story short...Joe knows best. If he's sold on Flynn, then so am I. If he's NOT sold, then either am I.

I love how 64 people are sold on a guy that has stared all of one game and whos passes looked like old timers slow pitch softballs

But the defense had no preparation for him..

That's fine, but to get 400 yards on any team's defense in thr NFL is impressive, to do it twice, is something to look into. When Brady came in his 1st game, how impressive was he, how about Warner in St Louis, or even Romo. All Great QBs, all came in because of injury, and not one of them were as impressive as Flynn.

What Flynn did was impressive, and if Philbin decides he deserves to start on the team he will be the HC of, that will be a very huge endorsement from the man that has seen him the most. Flynn was never going to start in GB with Rogers, that does not make Flynn a backup, but a starter in waiting.

Philbin has to be really sold on Flynn to risk his coaching future. It will be a very strong endorsement if we pursue him.

This one is super easy.

1. Philbin knows him extremely well. If Philbin wants him, we know exactly what we are getting. This would not have been the case if we didn't hire Philbin so I am very comfortable with the acquisition.
2. Flynn is a southern kid who doesn't like the cold. They said this during the Lions broadcast. He'd have to like Miami.
3. Flynn will want to go someplace where he would shine. Knowing that Philbin is there would give him comfort that he is set up to succeed. If he goes someplace else, who knows what he would find there.
4. Yes, alot would need to happen as is always the case. But this as much of a no brainer as a free agent transaction could be. I would put the odds as very high that Flynn ends up in Miami. Like 70/30. We are in no-brainer ville here, boys.
