This could be what we would be saying and reading on FinHeaven if the Trifecta would have pulled the trigger on this trade. Oh by the way Edwards has been targeted 48 times and only caught 23 since joining the Jets while Ginn (who I don't think anyone would argue is garbage and a total bust at WR) has been targeted 58 and caught 25. In other words Edwards drops almost as many as Ginn!

Edward quotes pulled right from GangGreen

i honestly think braylon is worse than ted ginn. wow...

Bahahaha...are you not watching this game?
The 84 yard TD drop was a perfectly thrown ball by Sanchez.

Braylon needs some serious concentration drills .... where they surround him with a couple of players and just push him around as he catches the ball

We really need a "go to" guy and Edwards isn't that guy. He'll make the circus catch but f**k up the gimmies and that kind of inconsistency isn't what a kid QB needs

Right now Braylon Edwards is not an NFL caliber receiver. Catching a big pass every other game doesn't make up for dropping 3 easy ones along the way.

Actually, if it hits you in the damn facemask, I'm not sure if it even qualifies as a drop. That's the kind of **** you see in "Little Giants."

I liked the trade initally but Schotty decided to play with his new toy instead of develop Sanchez and Gaylon has been dropping everything.

Why did the NFL ever ban Stick em?

He's doing the same s**t he was known for in Cleveland. I'm not sure I've ever seen a WR get hit in the face with a long pass..

Dont know but I do know we need a receiver to catch a wide open touchdown

are you f**king kidding me? edwards are you F**KING KIDDING ME

stone hands

F U Braylon

ugh....f**k you Braylon

...somewhere eric mangini is laughing...

Come on. How do you not catch that?

There is no doubt Edwards is a talented receiver but (imho) consistency is just as important as big play ability in a #1 receiver. I for one am relieved we didn't give anything up for this guy.

bad job dropping the bomb but he made a great catch on a 3rd and about 14 and then had the great play to score the TD. he's BY FAR better than anyone you have and you'd be much better w/ him.

Oh and he's been HUGE in the running game.

I said he was good but I just feel he's to inconsistent to be a true #1. (which we obviously need) We are building this team for the long haul and to bring him in here would have been counter productive. I like the fact that our FO isn't going to panic and just grab a guy. I would prefer they wait and get it right.

I'm not mad that we didn't get Braylon but I think he helps our team if he's here. The guy drops that one bomb in which he's looking straight into the air...c'mon. That's a tough catch.

And we're really going to put some stock into what some booger eaters on Gang green have to say lol. I wouldn't want their opinion on a new sandwich served up at Burger King.

I love your screen name.....but your avatar would look better with some aqua in the flame (imo)

Thanks, I was inactive for a year or so, and lost my signature. This is some old avatar someone from Rochester on this site made for me a while back. He made it cause I asked, and am from Rochester too. I need a new one tho, maybe if I ask someone will help me out. :buds:

He is so inconsistent. At times he looks like the most athletic receiver in the league and at times he looks like he is blindfolded. I dont get it with that guy.

I initially thought he would be a good addition to our team. I do not feel that way anymore.

He definitely has #1 ability and he commands #1 attention which helps other phases of the offense. Drops or not D's have to account for him. I am happy we have him and hope he is signed long term.

But at what cost? A team in our position can not afford to give away draft picks and players for some guy that drops more passes then he catches. If we were already pretty set talent wise I could see bringing him in as as another piece but not as a piece to build around.

No I put stock in the amount of drops the guy has which is way to high for a #1

I'd rather work with the garbage we have this season and grab a TRUE #1 this offseason than have given up draft picks and players for an overrated, inconsistent, and overpaid WR who only had one good season. If I wanted that, I would have supported bringing Chambers back (whom he reminds me more of than anybody).

And I take back the garbage comment. Bess, Cam, and Hartline get a bad rap for one WR sucking ***. They are all very good in their roles. Plug in a true #1, and this becomes an awesome group.

**** him! I'm glad we didn't draft him and I'm glad we didn't trade for him. I want a real #1, not another Chris Chambers.

Braylon is a pud that can't catch a cold most of the time. He is a beast come of the time, but is just too inconsistent for me. I have watched him since he came into the league since I watch a lot of Browns games, and for every "wow" moment, there is a lot more "WTF Braylon!!" moments, so to me, it's not worth it.

hes our Chris Chambers... chambers made plays, he had decent to good stats, hed make spectacular catches...

but in the end he was more frustrating than he was worth... those costly drops get exponentially more agonizing the more they happen... most Jets fans will be wanting to get rid of him by next year
