Armando Salguero's look back at Miami's 2008 Free Agent Class

Being lazy you can't really label this FA class a bust. It was mostly for depth because Miami has always lacked depth and tired out as the season started to come to an end. With the depth Miami has built up after just one year Tony and Jeff should have much better idea of what each player can bring to the team and should have less holes to feel and can really tartget the players they need to get the team to the next level. With all the players Miami cut after the Cam era they really gutted this team and they played with a lot of heart. This offseason will be fun to watch them tweak this team and really put their stamp on it.

True.

We were told that the trifecta would be churning the roster and those fas were part of it.

Nobody got paid enough money to cost us dearly and most were brought in for depth not to be these great signings that make a world of difference. Those who got paid well (Smiley, Penny) played really well and I thought only Wilford was the biggest bust.

You can't expect 100 % perfection with every move, there's no denying we're headed in the right direction though.
