That is true. Only 3 million guaranteed.
 
I want him. Short term is fair. Lets get it done and move on. Cap off an outstanding offseason with a good draft .
 
This all makes sense. We are probably going to wait now until after the draft to sign him. If he's offered a decent multi-year deal elsewhere, I think he'll go there before the draft. But it doesn't look like other teams are going to do that either. We likely get someone in the draft (not saying where, but just somewhere) and then maybe sign Winston to a 1 or 2 year deal with not much guaranteed $$$. That way we have a solid starter and time to develop the rookie at our pace vs. just throwing them in right away (i.e. the way Martin did last year).
