absolutely agree.....We all saw with our own eyes how much better we were with Williams at center jus sayin.

Hopefully there's some kind of void of the remaining years...or something that minimizs the blow of that silly contract
But we are told by others that it’s worth it for the 10 games he starts and finishes 100% each yearAlternative being that they release him this week with June 1 designation. His constant injuries degrade his value such that he is not worth anywhere the base salary he is owed.
The problem w this is you don’t know which games he’s going to miss. Like the year before he missed the playoff game. And add up those missed games and that affects your chances of winning the division, getting a bye etc. He’s also old-ish and it’s starting to show. Not sure he’d be paid more at this juncture. IMO he makes a lot for playing the amount of time he doesSilly contract? Armstead?! He's the #18 highest paid tackle in the league. He absolutely outperforms his contract when he plays, and the fact that he misses games is the reason he's not one of the highest earners.
it's not only the games he has missed but the games he starts but doesn’t finish.....then he never gets to practice which is not good for the OL in generalThe problem w this is you don’t know which games he’s going to miss. Most of his 2024 base salary does not guarantee until Saturday. The team has a few days of modest leverage here.He still gets money if released
The fact that he can't practice should not be understated.it's not only the games he has missed but the games he starts but doesn’t finish.....then he never gets to practice which is not good for the OL in general
Grier made it abundantly clear TA is not going anywhere. Most of his 2024 base salary does not guarantee until Saturday. The team has a few days of modest leverage here.
it really does because you always hear about teams wanting the OL to gel together and that comes with practicing togetherThe fact that he can't practice should not be understated.
It matters.
Silly in a sense that we signed a insanely injury prone LT on the wrong side of 30 to a 5yr deal. Regardless of the actual annual amount.Silly contract? Armstead?! He's the #18 highest paid tackle in the league. He absolutely outperforms his contract when he plays, and the fact that he misses games is the reason he's not one of the highest earners.
Rework means i think they're going to try to cut a year off the end of it, have an opt out or some kind of void. Something like that.Rework or Restructure What does that even mean
That's what I think it means. A restructure is a restructure, why would you call it an adjustment? Besides, with all the injuries a pay cut would be reasonable.Rumors floating around he's taking a pay cut.
