Army ladies head coach M.Dixon the sister of pittsburgh head coach as died at the age of 28 my prayers go out to the dixon family and the girls basketball team of army and the university.

What a tradgedy. I remember ESPN doing a piece on her during March Madness talking about her and her brother and also how she led Army to the tourny. This is just to sad. My heart, thoughts, and prayers go out to her family!

Wow that is sad...I remember watching the story about her....what happened?

Here is what I found out:

Army women's basketball coach Maggie Dixon, who led the Black Knights to their first NCAA Tournament berth last month in her first season, suffered an arrhythmia heart episode Wednesday at West Point, N.Y., and is in critical condition at the Westchester Medical Center, her brother Pittsburgh men's basketball coach Jamie Dixon said Thursday.

It's crazy when you see things like this, it can happen to anyone. It just goes to show how important it is to see a Doctor regularly. I'm not sure if she did but something tells me that if she had recently something could have been avoided. What ashame though. 28 years old is to young no matter how you cut it!

28 is just way too young to die. May she RIP.

That's horrible. The last I heard about her was that she was in the hospital. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. 28 is most definitely way too young.

What a sad day. West Point Officals want her to be interned(sp?) at West Point, A honnor noramlly held for high Officers/officals.

oh man I had a friend die of that and she was only 21.

Awful, just awful. There simply aren't words to describe what the girls from Army must be going through, not to mention the Dixon family. A young coach with a bright future regarded by all as a great person. May she continue to be the role model she was to the Cadets in death as she was in life.

Very sad.She was very bright and her coaching career looked promising.R.I.P
