Giants | Team still wants Arrington to lower his price
Thu, 20 Apr 2006 18:17:17 -0700
ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports the <A href="http://www.kffl.com/team/26/nfl">New York Giants are waiting for free agent LB LaVar Arrington (Redskins) to lower his price before they make an effort to sign him.

if lavar he doesn't sign with the giants or another team before the draft, it's bad for him and he will never see the money he wants to have, the teams that wanted him can all draft good young olb in the draft that are much cheaper and will be better over the years then him...

I think he will sign with the Giants. I heard on the NFL Network that he would like to stay in the NFC East. But that was last week.

It is being reported on a GIANTS website that LaVar took his Physical yest but left last night without a contract. Wondering if he is having problems passing the physical.

Im sick of hearing about this guy. Hes not as good as the money he wants...Period. If we do pick him up I hope we trade him to Minnisota or Detroit for a waterboy and a first round pick.

I agree, he is not as good as the money he wants. For soemone who was on the bench all last year, people consider him something special.

This is not really about him being the best.It is about solving a need.I am not an Arrington believer, but it beats the hell out of an old guy who is hurt for half the season or a guy who is a question to start.Arrington is a guarantee to impact our defense any way you slice it.If he is a little banged up he's got months to shape up.If his price is reasonable enough,it would be a hell of a signing to impact our defense now,not for the future.

I'm hearing people are questioning his knee, like in,most of
the cartlige in one is gone.

Someone is going to give Lavar some pretty good $$$ ... the draft may creat new suitors -- those that 'thought' they might be able to draft one of the top 5 LBs ... but lose out.

LaVar is still in a decent position ... doubtful he will get what he wants ... but he will get something reasonable by the time camps start opening up.

I can say that 13 years ago I had a knee problem and all my cartiledge was removed from my right knee. I still to this day am very active in sports and have had no problem at all with my knee. So personally speaking I see no problem if that is the case with LA.

if hes not going to miami i hope he goes to green bay because brett favre might stay then
