Good read.

"The blueprint appears to be to improve the offense while at the very least maintaining the level of play on defense."

That’s the mantra. Barring injury, the defense will be better this year because we have the same pieces + draft + better coaching + more experience.

That allows us to ramp up the offense in the draft + better coaching + better schemes + free agency + heavy drafting.

It’s awesome to be us. Gotta wear shades.

The main piece we need on D is at LB. We need to add a stud to that group. And I wouldn't be opposed to using our 1st round pick on it, before turning our focus entirely onto O.

It’s obvious that is the plan. All their free agent signings from other teams have been offensive players. The three defensive players they have signed since yesterday were players that were on the team last year.

I imagine they will spend some of their cap money to rework Howard’s contract. I expect them to continue to build the offense with maybe another few free agent signings and the draft will likely be heavy toward offensive players too.

Certainly makes sense to run it back as much as we can, with hopefully an upgrade here and there if possible.

Fix the offense, and the Defense will be better, especially at the end of games.

If the offense can start maintaining drives, defensive player will wonder if this is what they call resting a little.

I think it's a great plan - the best in years, if not decades.

And that's not just my part time homerism speakin'!

I think Miami needs to add impact players on both sides of the ball.

Chandler Jones would be a nice addition for the next two years on defense.
