said some things that make sense to a lot of us. i do not think Ross was ever willing to bend over for fisher.

"Jeff was great - he had the experience that the other ones might not have," Ross said. "But it has always been my philosophy to hire young people who have a real desire to succeed, and that's what's out there. Hopefully there's a Hall of Fame coach we'll be talking to."

So he says now...his actions over the last 2 weeks prove otherwise.
These statements are just damage control. Put a happy spin after having our franchise egged in the face.
 
8 million over 8 years? Yeah he wasn't willing to bend over backwards.
 
It is a bull**** to save face just like his round table circus act after Harbaughgate!

either the guy DID not offer him all the power he wanted and his recent comments are true, OR fisher simply did not choose to come to miami, and probably never was. Either way i dont see the "Egg face" thing.

the only people with egg on their face are teh media people who said he was coming to miami or the miami beat writers who said fisher or bust and are still stuck covering the dolphins.

I have said it all along I didn't want fisher, but I also said it would expose the bigger issue which is Ireland. Two off seasons in a row Ross has been firing up his aviation toys and chasing potential coaches across the country.

Hey it should been crystal clear who to blame now!
 
i'd guess Fisher was leaning Rams all the way and used us to get as much power & money as he could out of them.

Harbaugh did not even move to coach san fran. guy was a lock for that job. has nothing to do with ireland.

Exactly. I think Ross probably knew that, but he took a shot at it anyways. Harbaugh (and his family) probably did not want to leave California. San Fran was as close to his dream job as he was ever going to get. Ross probably felt the odds were against him signing Harbaugh, which could possibly explain why he didn't fire Sparano 1st.
 
Lol everyone's mad at Ross, but you know what? tomorrow, he'll still be the owner.
