Article - WR needs upgrade

It is a very good Article I posted it in the Eric Moulds Debate I started yesterday ha! Good read and good post.

Lee Evan, TJ Whosyourmomma, and Roy Williams are just 3 of next years FA class that aren't exactly likeing where they are playing now. We can hold off a year and see what happens. Since we didn't try and outbid and blow all our money this year we can be extrmely active next year and if we cut tiers with dead space like JT and some of our busts that don't improve this year we will be in better position next year anyway. Also Julius Pepper and Albert Hayneworth are a couple of players on D. I will try and find the entire list of possible FA's.

The buzz from the team insiders (pre-draft) was that they were very happy with their WRs. That could be part of the reason that there weren't any WRs drafted by the team. I don't think they are that concerned. Now historically, BP has drafted a higher than expected % of WRs high so I would guess that it might be a target next draft, but I think they are pretty comfortable going into this season with what they have.

And don't forget that this is an AS article. He is very consistent in viewing anything on the Dolphins as a negative.

Our WR corps was upgraded this year, but not in the form of a 190lb speedster, more like a 1500lb wall that coach Sparano will develop this season, giving us something we havent had in years, protection for our QB to throw...Doesnt matter the names (Chambers, Booker, Welker, Hagan, Ginn, Wilford), if the QB isnt properly protected, not even Reed Richards will catch a ball for us...:shakeno:

don't know if our QB's can wait until next year. this year is certainly make or break for beck.

Man it would Kill me to see Moulds in a Fin uni, just like it did with Thurman.

Also I dont think Lee, Housh, WIlliams, or TO even sniff FA next year.

If they do not get extended they will be tagged IMO.

Also Lee and Bills are still in talks right now.

Beck should have enough help with a quality TE and healthy HB's. If we could trade for Chad or Roy now then we should IMO but that isn't going to happen. I don't see any WR out there right now that is worth what they would want and really aren't any better than what we have. 80 players are all that is allowed to attend camp this year and teams are averaging 83 right now. We still have 2 cut dates including the June 1st cuts when cap related cuts will be made. Their may be womeone worthy of signing now that can help more than 1 year.

TE and RB and O line will certainly help. but without a go-to-guy? not so sure.

agreed that there isn't really anyone left to pick up. chad johnson - don't want. keyshawn johnson - makes more sense.

Ginn has worked his tail off and tried to add weight this whole offseason. He has the will but will need to show the production and Wilford has great hands and never was given a shot at #1. He may be the next Plexico Burress but he has been playing for the Lions AFC eqivulent in Jax. Those teams can't develope WR's for crap. I hope a #1 probowl worthy WR is already on the team.
