He's a free agent lets bring him in for a workout I think he has a shot to make the squad and help teach allen the position, i'm just not comfortable with guys like cooper and tillman

Whens the last time anyone has heard his name mentioned? He was ok with us but thats in the past. We have our players

did he have some kind of an injury, because I remember him being pretty good and not that old

i think wat we need 2 do now is bring in a vetern safety 2 teach allen, nbd let allen play corner this year, till we can sign another starter next year nd allen can then switch 2 safety

teach him what? how to take bad angles and have hands of stone?

he wouldnt make this team.

We already have 5 safeties. If you do see an addition to the secondary, it'll be a corner and likely be up from practice sqau. Someone like Michael Lehan or Shirdonya Mitchell.

He was OK but he overpriced himself and went elsewhere to look for a big paycheck. Not really an upgrade IMO but Saban knows DBs so he may fill a purpose.

i really liked the guy i always have him on my madden team i think he deserves another shot

We should seriously consider that because he could be a good teacher for allen.

How would he be a good teacher for Allen? Allen has more experience in Sabans system than Freeman. I think the great ones don't need a whole lot of teaching other than the defensive scheme. Either you have the instincts and ball skills or you don't.

I always liked him, he was good at making plays in the passing game. His weakness is that he is not a hard-hitter like many coaches seem to be looking for. Both Sammy Knight and Antuan Edwards were brought in to play over him, yet both became liabilities in the passing game. Knight made up for it by being physical, Edwards just plain stunk.

Saban takes extra interest in his defensive backs, usually teaching them the ropes himself rather than letting the position coaches do everything.

So, who would you rather have teaching Jason Allen how to play safety....Nick Saban or Arturo Freeman?
