SAO PAULO — Former boxing champion Arturo Gatti, whose epic trilogy with Micky Ward branded him one of the most exciting fighters of his generation, was found dead in a hotel room in the posh seaside resort of Porto de Galihnas early Saturday.

Police investigator Edilson Alves told The Associated Press that the body of the former junior welterweight champ was discovered in his room at the tourist resort, where Gatti had arrived on Friday with his Brazilian wife Amanda and 1-year-old son.

Alves said police were investigating and it was unclear how the 37-year-old Canadian died.

"It is still too early to say anything concrete, although it is all very strange," Alves said. He declined to provide any additional details.

A spokeswoman for the state public safety department said Gatti's wife and son were unhurt. The woman declined to give a name in keeping with department policy.

ward was my favorite and those fights between him and gotti were the most exciting i had/have ever seen. two of the best chins ever. RIP gotti.

Few if any. for the most part, guys like sports, booze, tools and chicks. The order sort of shifts around, but, unless you are gay that's your main paradigm.

There is a sliding scale for chick hotness in relation to the crazy. Don't tell me you don't have that scale, because all guys do. My first wife was pretty hot (You can see her in my albums..."Former life" ) but she was as crazy as a ****ing ****house rat. I did divorce her eventually, but, I also married her.

Infidelity is not really looked down on in athletes. A little, but, not really. Guys with lots of money and fame are going to chase tail. It's not going to stop.

Guess what? If they could get out from under those situations, they'd take a deep breath of relief, and, be cool for a couple weeks and do it all over again. It's a driving force in men...Specially men with lots of money and fame.

true again. but dropping a chick you know is crazy to look for new *** that might not be as crazy - not homicidal crazy at least - seems like it would be a good idea considering recent revelations. i'm not a cheat but if i was in their position and i had nutty ******* on the side they'd of been long gone immediately after the mcnair situation. i mean - 2 in as many weeks? that has to at least be an eye opener.
