"Pennington scrambles into the end zone, and his final pass of the day is an interception to Will Billingsley on a fade to Derek Hagan. Way underthrown.
Here are some final passing numbers for the two Chads. It ain’t pretty:
Pennington: 6 for 21 with two interceptions.
Henne: 7 for 15
That’s 13 for 36, combined. Yuck. But tomorrow is another day."

They haven't given Beck a fair shot. They kept saying it was all about how the QBs play in games, so they gave him 1 quarter.

The Dolphins have a history of trading away good players, and my bet is John will be another one on this list.

Henne is completely unproven, but they are putting their full ante in on him. Not too smart if you ask me.

Trade Beck soon BP, for his sake.

Merge! time to merge ALL the Beck threads. Because they all say the same things and lead to the same place.. by the same people.

MERGE!

This is why Im happy we have real football minds in the front office for once.

No no no no no. Beck had proved something.

Proved that he can't hold on to the ball

He proved that he could only find the endzone what, once? Out of the 4 games he played last year?

And Chad Pennington has proved he could lead a team to the playoffs and that he could torch us on a repeated basis over the passed few years

And maybe Henne is unproven, but I'll take him of Josh Mediocre and The man who can't hold on to the football or even find the endzone.

Besides Welker, who we got great value for, please list all the "great" players that we traded away. Thanks

No no no no no. Henne HAS proved something. He proved he sure as heck couldn't win big games in college - and he hasn't looked all that great in the pros. What...you say that one preseason game and a couple practices isn't enough to pass judgement? Neither is four NFL starts.

By the way, did Pennington lead the DOLPHINS to the playoffs? How many wins would he have had last year?

chris chambers, and i know this doesnt count but ronnie brown did get injured

Beck couldn't even lead the fins to the endzone. So I rest my case.

And honestly it doesn't matter what any of us think. Pennington is gonna start and Henne will be groomed for the future.

Oh and btw, I'm not a big College fan so I don't know. But I know Henne won In the Capitol On Bowl in a big upset against the Gators. I was there. And he looked pretty good under a hostile crowd and a lot of pressure. So Thanks.

Zaphod,
No offense but are you even a Miami Dolphins fan? Or simply someone that wants to see Beck succeed?

No wonder this team has been in such disrepair all these years. When someone as inconsistent as Chris Chambers is seen as "great". The only wide receiver in league history to have such a series of unfortunate events over 7 years that made him half the player he could have been. The same excuses we are now hearing for Beck.
How much you want to bet Chambers has less than 900 yards and 5 td's next year? Then again I'm sure we will hear how poor the QB situation is in SD with Rivers, if only he had Brees throwing to him :D

all the beck haters need to chill out, by the time hes 30 he might develop enough to be a capable back up.. so why would we ever cut him? :rolleyes2:

Your case is flawed, your facts are incorrect, and your argument wouldn't hold water in court.

1) Beck DID lead the Fisn to the endzone. Look it up.

2) When he did so, he did it himself. He didn't have to rely on a shaky line, lousy receivers, or a nonexistent running game.

And...SERIOUSLY? The Capital One Bowl? That's your argument? Henne won a bowl game to give the Wolverines an 8-4 record on the year...a year when they were expected to compete for the National Championship? I'd hardly call that pressure. The Wolverines had nothing to lose and everything to gain in that game.

But...you're missing my point. It's not fair to JUDGE Henne on what's happened thus far. It's also not fair to judge Beck on what's happened thus far. That's what I'm trying to convey.

again, he had a crappy o-line, no receivers or RBs. and beck did lead us to the endzone about 5 times so i rest my case
