Culpepper takes some of the credit here for the sacks and poor play. I have not seen a quarterback take so long in the pocket in a long time. Half those sacks today were on him. Plain and simple.
The offense reminds me of the Georgia Bulldog offense over the last two games. No fluidness or continuity. Hit and miss. This year may be a reflection of last year. May take half the season just to get into any rythem.

Basically the offensive stinks, pure and simple!! It's a group effort and until things are rectified on this end things will never change!!

This was a TOTAL team effort, everyone should take the heat from this loss, even Saban and Mularkey
 
Culpepper played much better today, imo. But that is to be expected considering the Texans were the WORST Defense in the league.. But the OL made Mario Williams look like Strahan at times. Pathetic. If we cant score more than 20 points on the woeful Texan D, they cannot score on ANYBODY. This will be a LONG season..
 
Ronnie Brown only getting 12 carries in a game is complete garbage. This guy is the FEATURED BACK and is NOT splitting time with Ricky Williams. He should have had at least 20, maybe even 30 against this defense. Mularkey needs to be brought down to the field ala Linehan last year
 
The entire team and coaching staff stunk today. Everyone take sthe blame, mostly Saban for putting together this failure of a team. We could and possibly should be 0-4.
 
First play of the game I'll blame culpepper,other than that it was coverage sacks.Play calling and coaching lost us this game.Culpepper played a pretty good game,no int's+no fumbles=pretty good game....
THIS LOSS LIES SOLEY WITH THE COACHING!!!!!!!!

This loss was mostly on the coaching staff, that was as poorly called a game as ive seen, it was as bad as our friends Dave and Norv. Yes, that bad.

Granted the players played poorly overall too, but wow did the playcalling just blow-offense and defense. Guess what Nick and Mike, the short pass wasnt working for 3/4s of the game, no reason to think it would work the last 1/4th. Have your QB throw the damn ball and the RB run it on your important plays, and please for the love of GOD COVER ANDRE JOHNSON, just double him, please, really, 2 people, all the time, every play, just do it!!
 
I'm sorry but I'm putting this on the 3 amigos (Saban, Mularkey, and Capers). Why do we blits on every third down when we never succeed. We get sacks when we drop 7 and get coverage sacks...but we never succeed on 3rd down blitzes...why do we still call them?! And we should NEVER blitz another one of our linebackers again.

Why did we kick that field goal with such an anemic offense...I guess they used a probability formula, but I had such a strong feeling, 2 pt.conversions are above this offense. Daunte wasn't very good again, but the line does stink. This loss is on our fat-content coordinators. They've been aweful. We haven't scored over 17 points in any single game this season. I'm not going to get into the obvious...I just hope this is rock bottom. I won't blame Daunte for this entire mess though. Not when our play calling has been so aweful, and we get outcoached after EVERY SINGLE GAME-BREAK.
 
you can blame him for some of the incompletes but the sacks are the line's fault.

We got more done with the front four rushing,,,,Yet we kept on blitzing and getting burned....ONCE AGAIN COACHING!!!!!!!!SABAN INCLUDED!!!!:rolleyes2
