As coach, how much time should Henne see in the preseason?

how bout playing him in the fourth against scrubs and if he sucks call denver quickly and give them what they want

Watch Denver's preseason game before you wish for that!

Orton is not going anywhere. Only QBs we could MAYBE get from Denver would be Tebow or Quinn. We don't want either of those guys.

It's not a regular offseason. You play Henne at least 2 quarters the first 2 games. Give him the first half or at least most of it. Then you play him 3 quarters in the 3rd game. And I would just let him maybe play the first quarter in the last game (maybe only two series in the last game if he has looked good in the other 3 games).

The ATL I play him for a quarter and a drive. 2nd game I play him for the entire first half. Third game I play him well into the 3rd quarter and the 4th game I play him for the first quarter.

Sparano said he wants to judge the rookies, so I don't expect to see much of Henne or the veterans.

We've got new QBs & I believe the FO wants to see what they have. There will be other QBs cut from other teams, so I think judging our new QBs is very important. Along with others who don't have a sure roster spot.

I think you have to give him at least some time to work with the new offense we've installed this shortened offseason. But, you really don't want to reveal a whole **** ton of plays, so it's probably best that you don't play him an awful lot.

I'd say.......40%

Let Moore play 40%, let Devlin play the other 20%

1 planned series for 1st game
1st qtr 2nd game
first half 3rd game
1st qtr 4th game

I heard sparano say they are getting ready for the patriots and not preseason. that means to me that all rookies and new guys significant play while they go all out in practice. Practices are closed to public so i see management putting the cabash on showing anything to the public in this offense.

I read through all the posts, this one was the only one I could agree with

He is the unquestioned starter. You don't play him much.

henne is full of question marks i think even though he is the likely starter he needs more reps
to get on the same page with new offense and show some consistency vs other teams
he may look bad without jake protecting his blind side

1st game 1st quarter
2nd game 2nd quarter
3rd game 3rd quarter
4th game 1-2 drives depending on how well the first one goes

You play him as long as the starting OL is in. Most likely 2-3 drives game 1 followed by a half in game 2, 3 quarters game 3 then a drive or 2 the last game. Hopefully Sparano learned from last year about leaving critical players on the field in a meaningless 4th preseason game.

No he isn't. Matt Moore plays well and he gets the job. Trust me, nobody is in love with Henne on the Dolphins coaching staff or front office. They didn't try to replace him cause they love him

IGNORANCE is BLISS man - get with the PROGRAM
