What can Miami do to better match-up against mobile quarterbacks?

I know mobile quarterbacks are a challenge to any defense, which is why they are so valuable.

Thoughts?

You've got to hit them hard... land on them and risk the penalty. Once they are outside the pocket, plant them.
Watch what GA is doing to Clemson’s inexperienced QB. That’s exactly what Mac Jones is gonna see from Flo--constant pressure and forced to throw on the move and into small windows. GA has SEVEN SACKS tonight

I think Miami is the type of defense that feasts against lesser QB's but gets exploited by better QB's that are less susceptible to zero blitzes.

Strong pressure up the middle over center and guards is the way you disrupt the offences.
Make the QB run for their life.

Do we really know if Miami’s defense is that good? I believe they could be but for right now I consider them a top 15 d. Where they fall in the top 15 I am not sure of.

mobile qbs - hit them early and often
Last year we led the league in scoring defense as in number 1 right up until that last game at Buffalo at the end of the year. And our secondary has gotten even better, and the initial assessment is that our front 7 should be at least as good as we were last year. I’d say, based On That, this defense should be a top 4 or 5 defense in scoring and 3rd down. The big weakness we had last year was vs the run, so that will he something to watch early on.

what did the bills do to lamar jackson in the playoffs last season?

do that!
to be fair, the wind in that game was crazy, but the Bills strategy was sound. Their ends played disciplined (and gave up getting quick pressure to ensure they didn't bite on Jackson's inside option plays), ensuring that Jackson did not get outside of them and keeping him in the pocket forcing him to throw.

The real problem though is mobile QBs who can pass. Allen and Mahomes are problems because if you do that to them then they will just carve you up in the air. They're also both super mobile inside the pocket. They will move inside the pocket and look to throw where Jackson moves left or right almost immediately thus taking away half the field from being a real threat.
