I have been wondering... if ricky is gone are we as good.
(I KNOW WE HAVE RONNIE BROWN & I KNOW HE IS VERY GOOD)
BUT... during our six game win streak Ricky was more of the featured back. And while Ronnie carried most of the load we werent winning. Im not looking too much into it.. it could be for a lot of different reasons but is there any reason to have this concern?

Don't sweat it. Ronnie can handle the load just as well, IMO. Him being a rookie, and potential to showcase Ricky probably factored in to his decreased carries.

Frerotte got a lot better and Chambers blew up in the 2nd half.

This was the first year for these players under this new coach and system, I'm happy that they started getting better as the season ended and I know Ronnie can carry the load.

im worried. I dont know if ronnie can hold up. When did he EVER carry most of the loads. NOt here (got injuried just like his sharing buddy in college cadddy) and not in college just like i said he carried with caddy. IM worried....lets take brian calhourn in the 3rd or second round

There is absolutely no question that the team will suffer without RW. Although without him, we are still a strong playoff caliber team that is capable of making some noise in the playoffs. We would simply be better WITH RICKY. That CANNOT be denied. Anyone who says otherwise has blinders on. Ricky was a top caliber back. He is still a top 5 RB in the NFL. If you lose a top 5 player, your team feels it, period!
Ricky's a stud. C'mon guys. He's awesome and it's a blow to the team if he isn't around.

I personally think we'll be better when we have one guy who is the featured back. IMO RW's value was as an insurance policy. I didn't see much value in that failed two HB offense. I actually think it hurt us more than the opposition.

miami has shown that they can not win without williams. when he left us a while back the dolphins could do anything with the ball. Ronnie is good but we still need Ricky

Anytime you lose someone with the ability RW has, it hurts. Ronnie cushions the blow obviously, but how can you replace the type of prodcution RW had, or would have had. Anyway, it's not 100% sure that we have lost him just yet. There is still a decent chance he will win his appeal. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed.

Ronnie had a twisted ankle during that 6 game stretch!!

I dont think SUFFER is the correct word. Miami wont have the LUXURY of such a great second back. But I also feel that Ronnie is an Emmitt Smith type back......he needs more carries to get better. Ronnie is going to finally be able to SHOWCASE his talents.

I totally agree with you, without having RW hurts, like you I keep my fingers crossed hoping to see him back.

I feel we will do just fine without ricky.Ronnie is going to be a great rb and we did use the 2nd pick in the draft to get him.4.4 yards a carry is great for a rookie rb.Our o-line will be even better next season.

IF we lose Ricky it hurts because the overall talent will decrease. However, I do believe that this franchise investedthe #2 pick and $20+M in Ronnie Brown for a reason - he had better be able to handle the load because it will be time to earn his money.

On the field - I think we will be better as the situation will force Saban to keep his best players on the field and that will allow Ronnie to get more touches which will allow him to get more in a groove.

Ricky in the last two games was able to find that groove when he stayed in the game - same will happen for Ronnie.
