Ok so take it for what it's worth. I was there and I saw more then the TV shows.

I'll try and make this organized and easy to read:

QB -
Pros: Daunte seems more relaxed. Obviously he's becoming more aware of things. His stats show correctly. That deep ball thrown to Chambers was inside and Chambers momentum carried him out of bounds. Not to mention Chambers lost control of it. The ball landed straight in his hands. Overall improvement from Culpepper.
Cons: Daunte is still holding on to the ball too long occasionally. I admit there were about 3 plays were he held on too long, regardless of the coverage. Either throw it away, or throw short of the receiver and don't give up the sack. He stares receivers down occasionally. If it wasn't for his bullet arm, he'd have a worst day then what he had.

RB -
Pros: Ronnie is Ronnie. Solid solid solid. Always giving the extra effort to reach out when being tackled and fighting for yards. I was pleased. Wish our offense would give him more carries, but I'm not in charge upstairs.
Cons: Not a lot. We need to carry him more and give our playmakers opportunities. Can't ignore the fact our o-line is terrible.

TE -
Randy McMichael did what he was asked to do. Solid play when called upon. We need him receiving more. Plain and Simple.

O-Line -
Pros: None. The only thing I noticed was McIntosh's performance. For being thrown into RG he handled his own. Gave up a sack one play, but better performance then Jaycox.
Cons: ALL! Pathetic display against the Texan's d-line. We had some nice pass protetcion on a few plays, but give me a break. No excuse for the league's most sacks given up. Plain out pathetic. Don't even want to write about this line.

WR -
Pros: Chambers had a nice day. Still wish he could have mainted control of that deep pass in the 1st Qrt. Culpepper hit him on the money. Nice TD catch obviously when it counted. Booker started off solid in the game. Made some nice catches and important ones. Then he dropped probably a 40+ yard catch when it hit him right on the money. Once again props to Culpepper for managing that play. Booker let it slip away and gave up a huge play. Welker played solid.

Defense -
They can only do so much. Nice day by Will Allen. The interception proves giving extra effort pays off. Jason Taylor is JT. Always solid. Constant pressure and nice forced fumble.

Cons: Zach Thomas blitzing = useless. Every major blitz we got stuffed at the inside and the Texans threw a nice out route every time. I hate it when we blitz. We need a better defender on TE's. Zach is not the answer. He's a playmaker but not a cover guy.

Our defense kept us in this game. But you can't expect them to do everything. Our secondary stepped up today, but our safety help disappeared when we needed it. I was disappointed in Tillman and Hill.

Over all notes:
Our offensive play calling is too inconsistent. The reverse is a great play once a game. I admit. But you can blame whoever u want, Culpepper did what he was asked. Nobody is perfect. Our O-line can't produce anything for the RB. When Culpepper is capable of throwing, he hits his receivers. They play selections are terrible. A RB option pass on a 2 point conversion?!!! Maybe its just me. I don't know. Exciting game, but disappointment again in the end.

Not sure what else to say, it's tough being a dolphin fan now a days.
Big division game next week. Take care everybody.

GOOD POST

Offense Is The Problem. Why Can't We Score? When It Is A Passing Down It Is The Shotgun, 2nd And 4.....shotgun. When We Run He Is Under Center And It Gives The Advantage To The Defense, Eliminates Any Doubt. Why? is It Because Cullpepper Can't Back Pedal Fast Enough? There Isn't Any Playaction

WRONG- THE PASS FLOATED LEFT OUT OF BOUNDS.

WRONG- THE PASS FLOATED LEFT OUT OF BOUNDS

When the ball hit Chambers hands he had two feet in bounds...TIVO it and press pause...he took a step to grasp control, bobbled and after momentum one foot, then the other out of bounds....

the ball itself landed in bounds.

Sorry bud.

Ohwell...regardless...I'm no expert, but I played as a QB enough years to write this report.
Our team is scary. We need to step up.
We're no playoff calliber team, and thats that.
Goodluck to us all next week.

This is exactly what i wanted to say about DC. He can not back pedal fast enough. There is not play action. Then he is all ways in the Shout gun because the coach's know he cant back pedal. When he is under center he gets sack like all the time. he gets back to his position very slowly when under center and runs out of time. This is a huge problem. Defenses know what where going to do. no play action cause CP can not do it fast enough, and that hurts the whole team bad.

Tevo'd It And I Don't Know What You Are Seeing? The Pass Was Out Of Bounds And Tasker Said The Same......the Announcer...did You Hear Him Say That? Tevo It

Not going to argue that anymore. The play was out of bounds even if he caught it regardless...all Im saying is the ball itself not the catch/incompletion was in bounds.

But in regards to Culpepper's back pedaling too slow. I might agree, but explain to me this...on Chambers' reverse...Culpepper was trotting, but the second he realized he had to block for Chambers he outran Chambers. I've never seen Culpepper accell as fast as he did.

Not kissing Culpepper's "rear" here, but the dude can run when necessary. He also escaped two huge potential sacks today as well by scrambling to the outside.

So maybe he can't back pedal, but the man still has speed. And for anybody who played QB, running backwards is something you work on, just cus you can run fast doesn't mean you can do a 5 step drop at the same intensity.

One of the worst things about being a sorry team is the crappy announcers that you have to listen to on TV.
