Anthony Johnson, McCain, and D Williams make this team and I think will be players. Plus with our 7th rounder Fede looking awesome, I said our GM and scouts did their homework well.

Can Miami afford to keep 10 D-linemen, once Jordan returns. I think Wake, Vernon, Shelby, Jordan, Fede, Starks, Odrick, Mitchell and Francis make the 53 man roster. Johnson could be odd man out, possible practice squad.

I'd like to see Williams YPC get above 3 before I give him a roster spot, but I guess I just have higher standards.

But Williams' 1.3 yards per carry looks some much better than Daniel Thomas' 3.5 average.

I like D. Williams the RB on the eye test at times but then I look at his numbers and it does not confirm. Jonas Gray had way better numbers.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Jordan still practice squad eligible?

Not clear which "D Williams" he was referring too...may have meant the receiver after tonight's game.

Jonas' Miami stats were inflated by one long run, the rest of his carries were about 2 yards per attempt. However, Gray has looked good with the Patriots this year.

I'm sure he means Williams the running back who has rushed for 22 yards on 16 carries.

The running back Damien Williams. How can anyone not say he's getting a roster spot. He's the only one playing with all the other RB's hurt. I think Thomas and gillisley get cut. As far as Anthony Jphnson he made way too many plays tonight to be let go. He will get swooped up in no time. I have him ahead of Francis. Stats don't tell the whole tale on Damien Williams either, it's his attributes and potential. He's cheaper and we have him for 4 years unlike Thomas who's more expensive and we have for less time.

You have to project the player playing behind a decent oline. This oline cannot run the ball against a mediocre or good defense. It would not matter if Ricky in his prime was back there with this unit.
Williams runs hard, that is is more than D Thomas brings.

Threads like this bring back memories of Chris "7-11" Hogan.

He is a budding star in Barfalo...lmao

I agree on both points. Williams over Thomas. Johnson over Francis.

While I like Thomas, I would prefer my third and fourth back to be a player I'm developing for a bigger role. It's clear Thomas will be behind Moreno and Miller, so his future here is unlikely. If he makes the roster this year it's likely his last ride. I can still see him making a better impact on another NFL roster for a team with injuries at running back.
