At the end of day one, I am...

I guess we'll see what he becomes, but I'm always going to struggle with tacking any CB in the first round who is not first and foremost, a boundary corner. Maybe Baron is, maybe he isn't... but if he isn't... it's a huge, huge miss.

We'll been finding nickel backs in UDFA.
if he's only a nickle then I agree but just saying I don’t think he is but again, we got who we got. I'm hoping we get two more starters tonight and one of them better be OL

Grant or Zabel, and we got Grant. Im happy. Day 1 starter. High high floor. Both guys were solid choices there and frankly, Im okay with it.

Im fully expecting Miami to trade back into the top of the 3rd round with a future pick, possibly using our comp pick, banking on the Ramsey trade's haul after June
using a 2026 picks to draft a player in this draft makes no sense to me when we already have 10 picks in this draft. I'd like to trade back from 48(depending on who's on the board) but trading a future higher pick to draft a player in a lower round never works for us and again, we have 10 picks. No need to do that imo

I like a number of the remaining Guards. I'd be happy with Mbow, Savanaia, or either of the Georgia Guards... Milum... there are others.

Initially I agreed with your take that I didn't want him that early. The afterthought is why not? The Iggles have a monster at DT that changes the game, maybe he can be ours. Having a big guy there also helps Seiler, maybe a lot. I think also they wanted to trade back but couldn't get adequate compensation. Take two to tango. I'm an A- with potential to be a plus eventually.
Yup. There is one big difference though. The guy the eagles took was much better in college, and viewed as potentially the best player in the draft, and he fell to them due to off the field issues and rumors. And they sat there and did the smart thing when other gms in front of them didnt

I don't think Barron is ideal for boundary. In a way, he's to corner what Will Campbell is to tackle. Both have really good tape at those positions, but shorter than ideal arm length.

Texas used Barron all over and he was a playmaker. I prefer Grant at 13. Barron to me was always a trade down option. Had Grier moved to 20, taken Barron and added draft capital, that would be a win in my book.

Denver is getting a ton of accolades for taking Barron at 20. But, I have a feeling Miami would have been lamblasted for reaching if they took him at 13.

You suggested there were many, now you are saying there was one... and you have no actual instances of that ONE guy calling Grier a genius.
You asked for a person. Now you want more. I'm not playing word games with you while you move the goalposts so you can get more attention.

90%

And now it's just one guy...

ROFL
Reading must take so much energy for you. I provided you with the one guy you requested. I did not say there was only one guy. If you wish further attention, please see your therapists.

I think we need to stop thinking about acquiring 2025 draft capital for Ramsey or Hill. The cap implications of trading either one before June 1 are too draconian. Even after June 1 trading either one will require restructuring elsewhere before we even start talking about the second wave of free agency.
We could keep Reek. While a distraction, I don't think I would call him a cancer. Annoying but he can still ball.

Ramsey is gone. If what we've read is true, there is no way he is on the 2025 roster. Either he is traded or cut post June 1st. I'd rather take the cap hit and at least get something for him.

some people think Grant was a reach at 13. Everyone is an expert except for me lol
I think there were the top four DT'S (Graham, Grant, Nolen and Harrison), then a step down. I think the order of those four can be debated based on system etc. But I'm glad Miami got one.

This defensive line still needs some additional help.
