As a life-long Braves fan, I can say that I have been more impressed this year than any other Braves team. Rookie after rookie has stepped up on this team, especially Jeff Francour, who will probably win ROY. Andruw Jones should be the League MVP the way he has carried the offense this year, and the pitching is starting to come together here towards the end of the season. May I say we will win yet another Division Championship. Let's just hope we do something in the postseason.

Maybe so, but I feel a little different about this team this year. For the last 5 or 6 years we have been relying on veterans to carry us. Guess what, besides Smoltz and Joneses we are playing a lot of young guys who are fresh off the farm systems. The Braves future is looking brighter and brighter.

Everyone has once again conceded the East to the Braves. One of these days one of these NL East teams have to beat the Braves. I think one of the reasons Atlanta hasn't won more then one championship during this amazing streak is that they usually have the division in the bag by the end of August and they go intro cruise control and get stuck. I don't expect them to win the whole thing this year but I think Bobby Cox is NL manager of the Year for the job he's done!

NL MVP - Andruw Jones
Manager of The Year - Bobby Cox
ROY - Jeff Francour

It's possible we could have 3 out of the Top 4 awards!!!!!!

I think the reason why the Braves only won 1 WS is because besides Smoltz they don't have another power pitcher in their starting rotation which hurts because those power pitchers shut down offensives in October.

I guess there isn't too many Braves fans here??

Nope.

I think Pujols will win the MVP. The guy has been robbed by Bonds his whole career and consistently puts up monster numbers. Jones is probably the most valuable player, but we all know that the people who vote for the MVP don't get the concept of valuable player vs. best player.

We're probably in the wrong place here. :D

Incidentally I was a Braves fan before the Marlins even existed. Sad to say my last visit to Dolphins Stadium was to actually see the Braves (24th Sept 2001, Marlins won 1-0).

You better hope my Phillies dont SWEEP and continue to spank your Braves....Bobby Cox will be rocking back and forth like your pitching
coach!!!!!

The Braves avoid the sweep. I think getting it to 6 games has just about sealed them the division. Amazing if they do win it again. It's one of the greatest regular season dynasty's in sports history!
