If any Phin fans own an authentic jersey they wish to convert to a new player, I highly recommend a place called team depot (www.teamdepot.com). I just received back two authentic whites which were originally Fiedler and Williams. I changed them to Chambers and Csonka (timeless). They look fantastic despite the fact that I gashed the nylon in many places while removing the old name/numbers with a razor blade. I'd recommend you go to a tailor to remove the old stuff before shipping it to team depot.

They only charge $ 65 for the conversion. It's a lot cheaper than the $ 300 you'll pay for a new authentic.

haha you bought an authentic fiedler jersey...haha

On a somewhat related note- I recieved my '94 75th Anniversary Marino jersey from Mitchell and Ness today boys. And let me tell you- it looks sweet. I'll be wearing it Sunday. :D

I know. It was on sale with an authentic Wannstedt mustache. I couldn't resist.

 I mean i was a guy who would defend fiedler and personally liked him. But I just would never buy a jersey of his, especially an authentic. But maybe if it was on sale, it would be tempting.

Ok let me get this straight? You must remove name on jersey, then ship it to them to put a new one on for 65 beans! If you are already removing the name a good tailor will do that for 30 bucks !

They charge $65 to stitch a new name and number on a blank authentic jersey. You can make the jersey blank yourself by removing the old name and numbers. The removal process can be done by you but it's tougher than you think. There are thousands of stitches in three layers of colored cloth. The numbers on the sleeve are really hard to remove-the stitches are small and tight. I did it myself with a razor blade but I did gash the jersey pretty bad. If I had to do it again, I'd spend some $ on a tailor to remove the stitches. If the tailor charges $30 and team depot charges $ 65, that's $95 vs $ 300 for a new authentic.

Well stated!!! Not thought out by me! $65 seems pretty good now that i think of numbers and arm numbers. Plus that work must be time consuming!

I retract my take on this!!! I don't think a tailor would touch this job for less than 60, to much work for them! But still a good deal ! I'm the same way would have tried to take it on my own the moth f'd myself for screwing it up lol.

Thanks for post !
