Anyone know if it is possible to replace names and numbers on authentic jerseys. I have an authentic Culpepper jersey that is a rare size 46 and fits me perfectly and I would like to keep it.

I would think most places that do alterations would be able to handle it.

Anything is possible! with Spraypaint:up:

Also, does anyone know of a place that does this?

Open up your yellow pages and look under "alterations", "tailors", "clothing alterations", "embroidery", or maybe even "uniforms". I don't live in Philly so I don't know what would be close to you.

The hard part would be to get Authentic numbers and a name plate to do the replacement with. Good luck. I sold my cpep jersey on ebay.

Most sport stores that make customize Jerseys will do it for the cost of the new numbering and lettering. I had a RW turned into a Chambers but it wasn't cheap and I had to take all the numbers and name crest off myself.

If you are going to replace the name and the numbers, then it's going to cost you some change. Might be somewhat of a crapshoot to find someone to match the colors exactly too. A suggestion might be to just have them remove the namebar on the jersey. They probably wouldn't have to much problem matching a white jersey, but the aqua/teal color has so many variations out there, that this might be a little more difficult. Just have your name put on the back or a nickname. This way it never goes out of style if the guy gets traded or cut. Seriously, if you are going to spend the money on a true authentic jersey, unless you are really sure the player is not going to get traded, etc. anytime soon, you are better off going with something personalized.

I bought an authentic Z. Thomas jersey off eBay since it was like $60. He was cut but I don't feel ripped at all. It's even the older numbers with the thick shadow - I'll always wear it.

In other terms, I bought an authentic Michael Vick jersey off eBay too. I still like it. Need myself a group of NFL thugs. OJ Simpson is next of course.

There is a place in Rockford,Il. called "Exclusive Pro Sports"' they do work for SI & NFL Pro Shop, probably one of the largest vendors in the states for the professional sports jersey market. Look them up, see if they can help you. They've changed #'s for me in the past. If you buy a stitch remover ( less than $5), remove the numerals & name plackard yourself, it'll save you $. The numbers might also be ironed on after the stitches are removed, they should peel off however.I looked up their website for you, exclusivepro.com. Good Luck!

This from that site...
"At this time due to licensing agreements with the NFL and the NFLPA, we are only able to fulfill NFL orders from licensed retailers. We are not able to manipulate jerseys in any way or sell materials, letter kits, and anything else protected by the NFL. We are currently working with the NFL in hopes of achieving a new agreement. Check back or visit "

This should work:

It may be cheaper to buy a customized jersey through NFL shop or elsewhere in the size 46 (authentic jerseys will come in this size) you want
