Avatar question...

I have a question...seeing as I've created a few avatars for other users this may sound dumb but I'm having a small issue.

I recently completed a new avatar for myself....it is 150 x 150 and is 16.1K...

Here it is

WHEN I TRY TO PUT IT UP I GET THE "your image is too large...it can not exceed 50 x 50....WTF?!?

Everyone else has an avatar that is well over 150...hell my current one is well over 50 x 50.

50 x 50 is microscoptic...can a MOD please PM me and tell me why I can't put up an avatar that is comparable to EVERYONE else here is size?
