If we take Ryan at #1... then we don't get an OT... like 8 of them went in RD 1

I absolutely love what we did today.

The only thing I wish we could done differently was get another 2nd for JT. I'm sure Parcells tried to get a deal done.
 
OT was the biggest need , it's done , Merling was BPA at 32 and Henne is a great prospect , all in all a good 1st day for us , lets remember Conner is still on the board and we've 1st pick tomorrow .....
 
Smart drafting by Miami. We did the same thing Green Bay did. they have Rogers but they picked Brohm. We have Beck but we picked Henne. We have cover our self. Its the same thing San diego did. Years ago.
 
Who would be our tackle then if we went Ryan at one? I was not expecting nearly this many tackles to be taken in round one, we would have been screwed had we waited. Carey likely would have remained at LT, and our RT would be very shaky.

#1 It wasn't a comment based at all in logic, it was venting
#2 if you have been reading this site you would easily see that I was completely against drafting Ryan
#3 I am simply comparing Ryan and Henne

Way too many bandwagons and fan clubs to keep everyones preferences straight.
 
We could have picked up Nicks or Collins which are both good LT. I am with him Id rather have picke Ryan at #1 than pick up this piece of crap at #57. The comparisons are with Joey Harrington. thats who the experts compare Henne too. WE had Harington why didnt we just sign him again for 900,000 a year in FA. He has shaky feet and is not a good decision maker. God I hope we bring in Olivea, Dyson CB, Ian Gold or R Colvin in FA . We really needed a CB on day one. We had better get Godfrey or Molden with #64. I hope BP doesnt thikn Allen is good enough to be our #1 CB . He is a benchwarmer on most teams.

and you would be right in feeling that way. the falcons will prove that you always go franchise QB over best OT. Next year, we'll look better but in two years they will have done it right.

Still, we got Phillip Merling who is the steal of the draft. Cant believe we got him. This draft might turn out alright after all

are you kidding me... we got our LT early, which as clearly seen throught he draft that we woudlnt have gotten had we waited till 32. and we got a qb who is ... in my opinion probably going to be better than ryan. Ryan is over hyped and over rated. oh... and we got a DE ... give you head a shake bro. I hate that we had to take a QB again this year too, but what can you do... new regime, they want their guys, not leftovers... thats the way it goes...
