Ireland and Philbin really blew it here. Giving away Marshall and paying Wallace all of that money is a joke. I wasn't the biggest Ginn fan but he is more of a playmaker than Wallace has been. Once Wallace loses a step he will be out of the league. He has no receiver skills at all.

Money well spent!

Letting go of Marshall was idiotic. They did it because of his character? SO they sign a player who complains after his FIRST GAME because he didn't get he ball enough? lol, that's ironic.

just to add: It really is a bigger failure when you consider that everyone knew Wallace is a one dimensional stretch the field receiver. He makes big plays if you call the right plays for him. But Philbin and Sherman are to dumb to use him that way.

Ireland blew it because he failed to spend on O-Line help, if RT had time to throw, then maybe Wallace would be able to get open more.

I can't even watch Bears highlights, I thought I would be over this by now, but no...no I'm not. One of the worst moves ever by this organization, not quite Culpepper over Brees awful but its up there.

Funny how both Sparano and Philbin were offensive line Guru's before they got to Miami.

THat's because they just worked with the players that were given to them, they never had to draft them. THey both suck at evaluating talent, like Ireland.

At the time, I was 50/50 on letting BMarsh go, now I regret it.
At the time, I loved signing Wallace, now I regret that, too.

I'd have to imagine, Miami's FO feels the same way, on both moves.

I totally blame Ireland and Philbin for Wallace's struggles. You buy a Lamborghini for a couple of reasons. 1. To go FAST! 2. To Look good and pick up chicks. You wouldn't buy this type of car and use it as an every day commuter car. My point is.... You don't sign a receiver like Wallace and not use him the proper way. He's actually done what he's proven he can do which is get open deep. Not his fault the QB cant get him the ball or the online can't hold up long enough to complete those passes. Everything else he does is based off of his ability to make big plays. If you hit on more deep routes, all of a sudden those short comeback and crossing routes would be much more easier passes to complete. But if teams don't respect our deep game, the underneath game will sputter.

I thought Greg Jennings was a better fit with RT's skill set and an athletic TE like Jared Cook could work the hash. I would have drafted a Goodwin or Wheaton in the middle rounds for my deep guy. Not sure if this would have been any better...I will still give Wallace time.
