Ravens LB Bart Scott to Dolphins?

An associate of impending free agent linebacker Bart Scott said he would gladly re-sign with Baltimore but also likes Miami and would welcome Dolphins interest if the Ravens (who have a lot of key free agents) cannot afford him. Scott probably would be the best available replacement if Channing Crowder leaves, as many expect. -- Miami Herald

Personally Scott is a solid player basically very similar to Crowder although Scott is not as good an insidebacker in my opinion as crowder. Thier scheme lets him roam alot more. For the money if we dont resign Crowder I would not want to overpay for Scott whom Im sure wants more than Crowder.

The only way Scott coming here makes sense, its to replace Akin, not Crowder.

Ayodele is better in coverage and attacks the line of scrimmage. He is the better of the two.

Crowder will be replaced. I hope it is Dansby but Bart Scott is a really good LB.

I'd welcome him here.

Everybody and their mama wants to play for Miami as long as they money is right. That's all it's pretty much about, the $$$$$

your opinion, Ayodele is only here because he was about to get cut in dallas and was a throw in. That being said Ayodele is a solid linebacker but not better than Crowder and neither is Scott on the inside. Dansby would probabaly be an upgrade on the inside although I doubt we waste him on the inside. Scott is at best holding par and probably at more money and older.

why does it seems like everyone wants to come here :p

because half the time they are being asked specifically about how they feel about Miami by a Miami reporter. But all we read is, I think Miami is great and I would love to come to Miami.

Next day they are talking to a Denver reporter and the Broncos are great and they would love to play for Denver......

so true of course free agents want to drum up interest. The truth be told they will go to the highest bidder for the most part.

Wow. Just wow. How the hell can you say Ayodele is better than Crowder? Cause he caught a friggin interception this last year? NO WAY is he better than Channing. I'm pretty sure Ayodele was nowhere near the tackle on LT on 4th and goal against the Chargers this last year, while Channing was the one who knocked him backwards just as he was about to cross the goal line.

I really don't understand all the hate for Crowder on this board. Not at all. The man can play. Is he a superstar like Zack Thomas? No. But he is better than average and I'm sure he will get plenty of FA offers if we dont re-sign him.

That's all it ever it is. I mean, seriously. Is it the new team that they really love? Or, is it the money that the new team just gave them. It's usually the latter of the two.

1. Parcells
2. Winning
3. Weather
4. Cash (cap room)

The problem is most football players will look at thier priorities like this
1-money
2-chance to start
3-chance to win
4-location

Parcells would not enter that high in any player's equation.
maybe if all things are equal and really did it help us get anybody cheaper last year, not really. if anything we overpaid at times more than anything.
