I got a feeling that the team gets whacked today in San Diego. I think Chad Henne comes crashing back to earth and is awful today. Rivers comes alive after a slow start. We will see Nolan Carroll trailing Malcom Floyd or Vincent Jackson in coverage. No Daniel Thomas is huge set back. Over all, I am betting a flat effort from the Fins.

This will set off a chain of events making us a Fin Fans tonight, tomorrow morning and while at work, monitoring whether Tony is canned.

Look, I can get into the "Suck for Luck" campaign Monday through Saturday. However, I HATE it Sunday. I want the Fins to win bad today. However, I just got a gut feeling that this gets ugly today. Hope I am wrong.

This is why there's an official gameday thread, for posts like this.

You don't need to start your own thread just to make your personal opinion stand out more. Be ordinary and post where the topic is already going.

I dunno, the Chargers are always overrated. Hopefully Nolan finds away to take Jackson away with a double team. SD is traditionally a dumb mistake prone team on special teams and offense so it will probably be a close game. I do wish DT was going though, hopefully the bye week is enough time for his hammy to heal up.

Like anybody actually has a good feeling about today?

And this is what is sad that we as Dolphin fans have accepted defeat before a game. Maybe we pull it off but I have little confidence anymore.

No matter what happens, we will have unhappy people on here. If they suck, the traditional fans will be upset over a loss. If they play great and win, even if they blow out the Chargers, half of our fan base will be upset because we can't get the first overall pick.

I root hard every game, but I'm still realistic and this is one game I'd be pleasantly surprised if we prevail. Nolan Carroll and the rest of our defensive backfield defending against one of the 5 top QBs, our on field "braintrusts" managing the clock and calling for FGs, and now no real running threat between the tackles? A win would be as sweet as Angie Jolie's lips, but really, this is one loss, if it happens, that I'm not gonna go ballistic over.

if we are to win today, chad henne is going to have to play a mistake free game, and he is going to have to carry this team on his shoulders.

meaning.

scoring touchdowns, not field goals.

with no daniel Thomas, we basically have zero running game today. i would not be surprised to see henne throw the ball 50 times today. we know bush can not run with the ball effectively, and slaton is basically a clone of bush for the most part.

All good points. Especially about our defensive backfield, I'm sure the Chargers will be able to dictate the matchups they want against us, everybody else does. Their backs and even McMichael in the middle of field will probably have field days against our coverage ILB's, LOL.

Not 100% in agreement on the running game. If the holes are their, Bush and Slaton should be able to pick up some yards. We may catch SD with their guards down a bit vs our ground game since DT is out. They could be playing the pass heavily. The Chargers make a lot of mistakes, they've let bad football teams stay in 2 games vs them. When they make their mistakes, and they will, we need to capitialize.

But I agree, the offense really needs to step up. As much flak as we've given the defense, and its deserved after the way the folded at the end of the cleveland game, 13 and 16 points is usually not going to be enouugh points to win in today's NFL.

I actually feel good about this game.
Turner is one of the worst coaches in the league.

Dolphins win 31-17

Problem is so is Sparano. Fins lose this game looking travel logged and the Chargers are 3-1. This is just not a team that wants to win. Problem is, Henne's 2nd half game play. Not sure why his play drops off so much, but it just has his whole career.

SD puts up points on us plain and simple - We may get 24 but I doubt we get to 15 - they will score more
