Hey guys, I just got back from Miami(flew home at 5:00pm today). I am kind of tired and haven't gone through all the threads, but I just want to tell you some things I saw from the Titans game. First off, it was unbelievably hot and if it wasn't for the cloud cover every five minutes or so, I think I would have died(guess it is because I am a northerner :) ). Some things I saw:

What I liked:

- Pass Defense(we definitley have one of the top 3 secondaries in the league, and McNair was just shut down)
- Run Defense(for the most part they did a good job, but gave up a few pig plays)
- Special Teams(Brightful had some good returns and Mare's kickoff were amazing-first one went through the uprights  )

What I disliked:

- Run Defense(gave up some big plays including a 52 yard run. We should be giving zero of those)
- Special Teams(two offsides on Kickoffs are unacceptable/Mare missing that field goal made me mad.)
- Stupid Mental mistakes(We need to cut out the STUPID penalities! This was a major reason why we lost. The coaching staff better kick these guys into gear.)

What I thought have potential:

- Passing Game(Fiedler had his worst showing by far, but Feeley actually did pretty darn good and if he played a full game probably would have had over 300 yards. The line needs to give him just a tad bit more time.)

- Runing Game(This unit actually suprised me. The stats may not look very good, but I think Gordon has a chance to be star down the road. One play it looked like he was stuffed, but then moved the pile for an extra 2-3 yards. Minor is best as a 3rd down back. After hearing that Cincy gave up 196 yards to Curtis Martin, don't be suprised to see Gordon hit the 100 yard mark in his first start).

Overall all I was disspointed that we lost, but remember that we played a Titan team that was 12-4 last year and is supposed to contend for the Super Bowl and possibly win it, and we also lost 31-7 last year to them. I think we are going to have a strong defense and they will keep us in every game. The Offense definitley needs some work but can be a decent unit this year. I feel good about our chances at Cincy this week and I believe we will come away with a win. My early predicition:

Dolphins 20
Bengals 10

Did you notice how the O-line looked Im sure the made quite a few mental mistakes but how did they look physically in their 1 on 1s ??

They didn't look that bad, but they still have some problems with the run blocking. Fiedler actually had more time in the pockect then Feeley did, so I guess maybe the unit tired out near the end.

These are not the 12-4 titans of 2003 by the way, they will be lucky to make the playoffs this year...

Hey TT give me summation of our O-Line :) are we young and strong just waiting to gel or what???

You are right, they are not the 2003 Titans, but they are still a very good team. Also, most people seem to think the Titans will be a playoff team and possibly a Super Bowl team. Not that I ride my thoughts on so called "experts" predicitions, but the Titans are a good team. We did not lose to the Texans on Sunday, so I don't think it is time to throw in the towl just yet. If we lose to the Bengals, then I think we really start to worry.
