The disclaimer....I was on the 3rd deck. Could see everything from up there but a little far.
The offense moved the ball. Tannehill had some nice passes. The pass protection was solid. The run blocking was not. The fast pace was great to see.
On defense we actually tackled tonight. Inconsistent pass rush thought but of course as a whole they played much better tonight. Love Grant on returns. I feel better about our team after this game. Still, we need to score more. We dominated the game but need to score more. That's all I got tonight. A little tired but will watch the replay tomorrow and see if it was so different than in person.

Yes the D was actually tackling tonight and they looked somewhat physical as well.

The run game is still anemic.

I mean look at how the line is built. 4 tackles from the outside in . . . This will not be a good run blocking oline, especially early on. Foster was a key addition because he has the ability to make something out of nothing. Great vision.

Also, Tannehill is going to be passing a lot, and as much as we scream balance, if he has a wall in front, may as well use the short pass as a run play. I mean 29 pass attempts for 155 yards . . . That isn't great on paper, but he managed the game well and moved the sticks. Points do have to come tho.

I think points will come when the games matter.

The tempo alone will score points. Also getting DVP along will help the passing game too.

Was much better game for fins except running game. Also some dropped passes that should have been caught...but overall better then last game for sure.

It may balance out in the second half of games after uptempo kills the oponents dline....at least one would hope. The other thing about the offense is that they seemed to finally start clicking last night. Like everyone was on the same page and the hard work is starting to show. Maybe Pouncy goes to guard when he comes back....because that pocket was solid.

Ajayi is just not that good, I think that is becoming evident and Gase knew it or else Foster wouldn't be here. Gase probably doesn't want to do this but I think we're passing an awful lot this year

All good points guys. It was great to see the effort from the defense and the pass blocking as well. Seattle will be a hard game for sure but I'm ready for the opener

I agree that the identity for this offense is a passing team. It will be 60/40 or 65/35 pass to run. Coach Gase should do a good job of being unpredictable with his play calling. I am excited to see this team during the season.

I think DVP is going to be used way more during the season. In practice we hear about Tannehill hooking up with him multiple times in practice. One thing is for sure. DVP has got to come down with that opportunity he had during the game.

It's weird but it seems everyone is dropping the ball. I don't know if it's because they are thinking still and not quite ready for the ball when they come out of their breaks but someone on this team has got to come down with a great/spectacular catch to get them out of this funk.

Anemic was last week. Arian Foster is the bomb.

please dear lord keep Arian Foster healthy all this year.

I think Gase has served notice to other teams that you have to respect Tannehill running the ball....it has been very effective! If your end is going to crash down, Tannehill is gonna get 8-10 yards consistently. I am happy we have shown this multiple times and I hope we continue to do it! I can see a zone read keeper with a lateral pass to the outside receiver in the mix sometime!

I did like the formation where it was trips on 1 side & single wr on the other.... DVP or Carroo should go nuts as the single WR on the goal line or when a 1st down is needed.

Say what you will about the running game but.... both of Miami's TD's last night were rushing.

Maybe AG realizes the ground game will struggle & that the running game is more crucial on the goal line than say on the opposing 40 yd line?

Lets face it. As much as we hope this team will have a balanced offense, it may not be the case, at least the early part of the season. We will be a PASS First offense. Someone mentioned earlier, using the up tempo offense often and early in the game will slow the d-line down in the second half which may help the run game. That very well could happen, but it will be up to our coaches to recognize their strengths early and use them to their advantage.
